QUESTION 1 OF 4

We asked 100 mothers-in-law:
Have you dropped in on your daughter-in-law uninvited?

How many of 100 mothers-in-law said they've dropped in on their daughter-in-law uninvited?
Image

MAIN GAME RULES

  1. I will start the match with a survey question to the red player and ask how many people out of 100 responded to it in a certain way. The blue player will then respond with whether they think the actual answer is higher or lower than that. If the blue player is right, they will take control of the cards; otherwise, the red player will. (If the red player guessed the exact number, they get $2,500 on the spot.)
  2. The winner of the survey question will be asked if he wants to play his base card or change it. After a decision is made, I will then ask if the next card is higher or lower than the base card. If the player guesses correctly, he has the option to play that card or freeze it and make it the new base card. If you make it to the end of your row, you win the game and $500. However, if at any time an incorrect guess is made (the same value card counts as an incorrect guess), all cards after the base card that are flipped are lost and the opponent gets a turn. The loser of the survey question cannot change his base card.
  3. After a player freezes or both players have had a chance to play their cards, whichever happens first, a new survey question is asked starting with the opponent of the player last asked a question. The fourth question of the first two games and the third question of the third game are sudden death questions, meaning the winner decides whether to play or pass and that an incorrect call results in immediate loss of game and $500 to the opponents.
  4. The first player to win two games wins the match, plays the money cards round, and gets to choose whether to go on to The Bank Job or Tic Tac Dough in the semifinals.

MONEY CARDS RULES

  1. The bonus round is played much like the play of the cards in the main game, except that the player bets money. You will be given $1,000 in addition to what was already won to bet at will on the bottom row. Once you reach the end of that row or run out of money, the last flipped card will be moved to the middle row and another $1,000 will be awarded. Minimum bets are $50 until the last card, the Big Bet—there, you must risk at least half of your winnings. Doubles neither win nor lose money.
  2. Three cards will be pre-dealt along the left side of the board to help you out. If at any time you want to change your last card, just tell me which one of those three you want instead. You cannot change the same card more than once, but you can change them mid-row. You cannot change more than one card in the row.

puzzledan, you were first to sign up, so you will be 1 in this coin flip. D3f3nd3r, you are 2. The winner of the toss is red, the loser is blue.

You say it is higher.
Image
Spoiler: The actual number of women in jail said they committed a crime that a man persuaded them to commit is...
Image
...twenty-seven—not higher!

D3f3nd3r, that gives you the first shot at the cards. Your base card is...
Image
...a seven. If you don't like that card, you can change it; if a seven is fine by you, then call higher or lower on it.

Didn't think you liked that card too much. Your seven now becomes...
Image
...an eight >< I would have liked to have been of help, but this was the best I could do. Is the next card higher or lower than an eight?

Aces are high only.

Higher than an eight, you say...
Image
A nine. You can play on if you wish, or you can freeze to protect your position and keep puzzledan off his cards.

In post 16, diginova wrote:Are you saying your players need to be arrested with all the prison questions, SC?

I assure you there's a survey question that doesn't involve people in prison xD

Anywho, puzzledan thinks 32 out of 100 California parole officers said prisoners should be allowed overnight visits from their wives, while d3f3nd3r thinks the actual number is lower.
Image
Spoiler: The actual number of California parole officers that said prisoners should be allowed overnight visits from their wives is...
Image
...eighty-five—very much not lower than 32!

puzzledan, your base card is...
Image
...a six. Play it or change it?

Also, images are now caught up.

Would you divorce your husband if he had an affair, even if you go with no money?
