By the way, I think of gxf6 as a candlestick tactic because you had a chain of two pawns and I took the top one the one that was most advanced (f6), which positions my pawn to be able to capture another one if you don't deal with that threat of capture, letting my pawn melt down your pawn candle wax. Colorful metaphor, right?

That was a nice game even though it never felt very aggressive. Sort of felt like a draw was coming all along. After move 26 I thought I had a fair chance of winning, being up a knight and down a pawn, but that clearly wasn't enough to defeat the mighty force of Tazaro.

I gained a pawn right away after you got one of my pieces, and then all I had to do was gain another pawn to have not much in the difference in our material.

I analyzed the game with a chess shredder and you had a small advantage for most of the beginning of a game (0-1 pawn).
24. Rf2? made that a 2-pawn advantage to you. However, 25. Kf7?? lost 5 pawns of value changing the game from a winning position for you to one for me. I couldn't capitalize on it though and it was indeed a remis position at the end.
