You have to decide to pay $50 before you roll. You already rolled for doubles, so you must wait for your next turn to decide weather to roll for doubles again or pay $50 to get out.

There was a problem last time Dom rolled (not the roll right above this one, but the one before that. You were on Short Line, rolled a 5, and would have landed on Just Visiting. Instead you said you landed on Mediterranean, prompting you to buy it. Then you traded a property you shouldn't have and gained a monopoly.

Is it too late for this to be fixed? Based on your current rolls, you should be on Free Parking (you rolled 10 from Just Visiting)

I'll post both boards for now, and Monkey can decide what happens.

According to your last board I was on vetnor and rolled a nine putting me on chance. Then I rolled a 5 putting me on Mediterranean. Or can I just not do Maths :/.

after you went to chance you were sent one space back to short line (which you bought) and so yes mist is right, you're now on Go.

I'll let the mod to decide what to do with this.

I made a mistake in my post, I didn't mean Short Line, I meant Reading Railroad. When a Chance card says "Nearest Railroad," it means only going forward. (

Advance

to the Nearest Railroad)

He should not have moved backwards onto Short Line, but to Reading, and then 5 to Just Visiting. This roll, he would have rolled a 10 landing on Free Parking.

Wait I think normal rules states nearest means both forward and backwards. "Forward only" is a house rule

I just realized its** stated in the Chinese version of the Wikipedia of monopoly :/

**that "Forward only" is a house rule but not original rule (which means that original rules allow going backwards)

The card says "advance token to nearest railroad". Advance is specific wording to mean moving forward, not backward.
