London-NY, there's this flight SQ2525 at 20:05 that doesn't show up in a any search engine.

I arrived in London at 19:50, but I'd have missed all the direct flights that showed up in my search due to alliances. So I figured I was done for and started searching for the best place to go to to arrive in NY as early as possible on a next day flight.
Then I found it in the JFK arrivals list and had to spend like half an hour to confirm the flight actually existed, then had to spend another half hour the next day finding it again and making screen shots because
pablito
couldn't find it.

I'd have had about a 12 hour delay if I hadn't found that flight.

So, I've been looking at leg 8 and it's hilarious. I think everyone made at least one comment along the lines of "no way the others screwed up as much as I did, I'm done for".

I regret that ferry the most. Is there any interest in a third version in a few months? I was only able to get this one out of the gate so quickly because it was a re-hash of the previous one.

SQ2525 shouldn't have taken that long. I was not looking in the right place, it was quite obvious where I was supposed to confirm it. I did learn a lot about Virgin Atlantic being a cross-alliance codeshare from that though.
Sup, later.

The combination of operating hours + travel was problematic, it could either be solved by making the operating hours reflect what time you would end the challenge instead of the actual operating hours of the service or allow everyone who finishes the challenge x hours after operating hours pass.

SQ2525 did take a really long time to find though and I wasn't sure what you were seeing since you mentioned not finding it in a place where I had seen it before.

If you run it again I'd suggest getting rid of the alliances or assign everyone the same combination of 1st/2nd/3rd, the waiting for a cheaper flight mechanic is interesting, but there doesn't seem to be a really bad choice to make for them, so it just becomes a pure luck game depending on where you start and what the route is. At the same time, spending EP never really stopped me from taking a faster flight, because usually the hours it saved was more than I'd have gotten from using EP on a challenge anyway.

Maybe a system where it takes 60 minutes to book any flight, but an increasing number of EP can shorten the time.
Like:
0 EP -> 60 min
5 EP ->45 min
15 EP ->30 min
30 EP -> 15 min
50 EP -> 0 min

Me switching alliances on the final leg gave me a penalty, but I think that was more that I was running late with mu submission so I just wanted it in straight away instead of completing my reasearch and sayfinding that flight N used via Miami.

I think that and the 2 hours I ended up behind in leg 8 were the only ones I stuffed up with by switching.

I'd love to play it (or something similar) again!
