If the godfather asks a Loyal Henchman to empty his pockets, he can placate him with a rum token and not lose. It basically means the Godfather can guess wrong twice as long as it isn't an agent and still win.

They are called Jokers in the rulebook. They are shaped like rum bottles. In the game's flavor they are like the GF saying my bad for accusing you, here is a token of my appreciation for your loyalty.
