I think this is the first time this game is being played here. The game is similar to Mafia but very different.
Here is how it goes.
At the beginning of the game
, 10 players receive their role PMs. The role PM should have precisely one word, which is one of the following list*. Each role exists only once in the game.- Werewolf 1
- Werewolf 2
- Minion
- Mason 1
- Mason 2
- Seer
- Apprentice Seer
- Troublemaker
- Robber
- Villager
- Villager
- Villager
- Insomniac
*Different roles may appear in other runs of the game, it also depends on the amount of players. These are the roles I chose to play in this specific game.
Then, night starts. Each person who has a night action, sends me their choice, and day opens.
During the day the town should discuss and decide who they want to lynch, and game ends.
Werewolves and the Minion
win if the person lynched is NOT a werewolf. That means, if the minion is lynched, he wins the game too. All the others
win if the person lynched IS a werewolf.Now, where's the catch?
You don't know what you are at the morning, only what you WERE before the night actions.
There are 13 roles, and only 10 players!
Now let's break it down.
Werewolves
will know who each other was BEFORE night actions.If there is only one werewolf, they will be able to see one role that was NOT distributed to a player.
Minion
will know who all the existing werewolves are BEFORE night actions.Masons
will know who each other was before night actions. If there is only one mason, they will know it.
Seer
can choose to either see a person's role BEFORE night actions, or see two roles that were NOT distributed to a player.Apprentice Seer
will see one role that was NOT distributed to a player.Robber
chooses a person and changes their role to be Robber, while changing his own role to that person's role. He also gets to see his new role.Troublemaker
chooses two people and changes their roles to be each others' roles.Insomniac
will get a PM saying his morning role after everything else has happened.Everything happens BEFORE the robber and troublemaker. Robber happens BEFORE the troublemaker. Insomniac happens last.
Your win condition is your MORNING role's wincon. That means that if you were a werewolf, for example, and got switched with the robber, you are now a robber (Town-aligned), even if you don't know it!
