I mean, hypothetically, if the RMD was for example a Key Person we would have lost the moment the incident happened and not at the end of the Loop, right?

As for discussion: A suicide incident on the last day of the Loop seems completely pointless unless the victim has a death relevant role. Assuming the above is correct, RMD can't be a Key Person, because we would have lost before the end of the Loop and she can't be the Friend because the role would have been revealed. That only leaves her being a (untriggered) Factor or a red herring... I have no idea whether this game does red herring incidents.

Not looking at my notes right now but the only possibility I can think of is that the Brain started in the Shrine and we're in Light of the Avenger so we lost because of the intrigue.

Light of the Avenger is First Steps only, we're playing Basic Tragedy.

As far as I can tell there's three possible loss conditions we could have triggered: 2 Shrine Intrigue with Sealed Item, 2 Shrine Intrigue with Giant Time Bomb (and Witch Shrine Maiden) or Change of Future without Time Traveller Goodwill.
D1 there was an Intrigue placed by the Mastermind Action, so either there's a Brain (and necessarily the Sealed Item plot) or there's the An Unsettling Rumour subplot.

Okay I agree with everything you said. Except the timing is also a little wonky for time traveller--the description says "day end last day," which is I guess different from "loop end," and the loop ended before we lost. Or does the loop end before we lose no matter what? (E.g. If we lost because a Key Person died on day 4, would we still see "loop ends" before we lost or would it be after?)

If we want to test for a time traveller, we could put people alone with the SK one at a time and see who doesn't die, since I assume the time traveller's mandatory non-death would trump the SK condition.

Good catch, guess that's another question for LLD:

If we had lost due to Time Traveller losecon would it have been "Day Ends -> Protagonists Lose -> Loop ends" instead of "Day ends -> Loop ends -> Protagonists Lose"

Also something worth mentioning. Use the +2 Goodwill when a character is 2 off from using an ability, it's basically two free actions as it allows you to use a goodwill ability a turn early in addition to saving a turn having to play +1 goodwill twice.

It's probably best to try and avoid Shrine Intrigue to force a reveal on other roles. Possibly also City intrigue, a Factor seems plausible.

Blackberry and JDGA in their searching for info on the game, found a "playthrough" of the game.

Unfortunately, this playthrough happens to be the exact scenario I'm using. So they're both unable to join this one. Felissan was asked and chose not to play in this one, preferring to play in game 2.

Hence I'm onto Chamber, and if not him, Brian for immediate need. Chamber hasn't responded again though, so I think I'll just move onto Brian.
