Nay to 5

That hammers it.

Rule proposal 6:
Every player has a Cash counter that starts at 0 and increases by 100 once per day at midnight EST.

Aye to six and four.

Rule proposal #8: The first post a player makes during the time span of 12:00 EST to 11:59 EST each day will earn them 25 dollars on the cash counter.

Aye to eight.

That way people will be encouraged to post at least once a day and vote on any proposals

Nay 5, Aye 6, Aye 8

Rule Proposal #7:
Rule breaches can be assessed a fine in terms of "penalty units". One penalty unit is defined as 25 dollars subtracted from the cash counter.
Rule Proposal #9:
Rule proposals must be in numeric order. Should a player number a proposal out of order, they will be assessed a fine of two penalty units.
Rule Proposal #10:
Every player must vote on every proposal within 48 hours of the proposal's creation. Should a player fail to do so, they will be assessed a fine of one penalty unit.

aye to 7

We definitely need a system in place to penalize rule breakers

nay to 9

I dont see how that will really help anything, plus I'm bound to fall victim to that.

Gonna think about ten for a bit.

Aye to 6
, because I'm a derp and I forgot to vote for it.
Aye to 8
, activity is gooood.
Aye to 7 and 9
, because there's no reason not to.
Nay to 10
, because as "gooood" as activity is, 48 hours is still pretty harsh.

So, 6, 7 and 8 are in, 9 is at 3-1 and 10 at 2-0.

(Also, I may or may not be mispelled in OP.)

VOTE: Aye to 11 just for the sake of it even though it has already reached majority and holy cow that's a long vote
VOTE: Nay to 12-13

Rule proposal 14:
A player may give anything they own to another player at any time without needing anyone's consent.

Rule Proposal #14
: At least once every 24 hours, the mod should update a list of current rule proposals and their vote status.

are you fucks happy

Rule Proposal #15
: A player may suggest amendments to a current rule proposal at any time; if they are agreeable to the proposer, they will be added to the rule and voting will recommence.

so that shit doesnt die because of wording again

Have you ever played Nomic before? This entire
game
is all about the letter of the law. Everyone fools around and does whatever for a while, then someone finds some crazy series of loopholes to give themselves an instant win and everyone debates for a week over whether or not what they did is legal :P
And no, we're not happy, you doubled up on number 14.
VOTE: Nay Feli's 14 - need a definition on ownership first, and not having the recipient's consent will probably break things
VOTE: Yay Drench's 14
VOTE: Nay 15 - the votes don't reset?

The rules don't say anything about the moderator being unchangeable. And our moderator has failed to login since Sunday, so

Rule Proposal #16:
The current moderator, Burning_Earth, will be replaced effective immediately and a public vote will be held to elect a new moderator who upon receiving a plurality of votes will assume the position immediately.

VOTE: Nay 16 - Good idea, but that wording is super weird (with no specified end other than someone receiving a "plurality", wouldn't the first vote technically decide it?)

Plurality was meant to prevent a deadlock from occuring with no real majority ever forming, if I changed it to majority would you support the rule?

I'd support it if it set a specific end time at which point plurality is checked :P
