um wow. well youre right i didnt expect that. what does that counter? i must have been on an entirely different wavelength because of the 4 or so scenarios i was worried about, i didnt consider that.
ok i have priority, and your SoBs do nothing. we leapfrog across the arena: pull, advance, pull (2 bugs), 5 damage, death and auto-stun even so, and advance again.

It countered either a burst (which had a couple ways to kill me when I countered the options of yours I looked at first) or a dodge (which let me get lower on life with Insect Counters before making another attack after I in theory wasted something.)

I had counters for your grasp and Mandibles, even without the anted curse token, but then I noticed the burst and got all paranoid about that. It's been a string of bad predictions for me over the two games I'm playing, but so it goes sometimes!

Good beat and good game!

I'm all for a rematch, but probably starting in a day or two. Sound good?

P-edit: It's my second loss here. KingdomAces beat me in our very first game together (Hikaru vs. Kallistar.) I came back to win the match, but he crushed that first game. Outside of here I'm about 50-50 in the 6 or so live games I've played over the past 2 or 3 years.

ah fair enough. i think i dismissed my own burst or dash options because of unyielding drive. also for that matter i think unyieldong drive killed my first plan: parasitic burst or shot, which were my first anti-devastating plans. it was a tough beat to plan out. a lot of these were. im good to start later. i have a busy weekwnd so ill probs be ready sunday evening?
would you like to try out an arena? if so, i think we could like both suggest 2 wed like to try and then decide from those.
or if you want to do a duplicate of this match's set up for a cleaner rematch, or just arent interedted in arenas, im cool with that too. :)

The arenas might be fun, but I'm at most ambivalent about them. For now I've got plenty to think about with just the normal game (and so many interesting characters to try.) Let's finish out this best of three as is, but then if you'd like to go with an arena I'm willing to give one a try.

Sunday night is probably a good time for me to start. Let's tentatively plan on that! Have a lovely weekend!
