2015 Game
2014 Game

2016 NFL 3 Strikes Challenge

Pretty much the standard Eliminator challenge, but you get additional lives.

RULES
The objective of the challenge is to correctly select a "Winning Pick" for one NFL game each week.

Each week, you must select one team which you believe will be the winner of that game. Please post in thread and bold your pick for that week. If you are correct, you stay alive. However, if your pick for that week loses its game, or you fail to make a pick for a given week, you earn a Strike. If you earn three Strikes, you are eliminated. Once you pick a team, you can't use that team the rest of the season.

The last remaining person wins. If more than one person is left standing after Week 17, the following tiebreaker is used:

1. The person who has the least amount of Strikes
2. The person who has the longest streak of correct picks
3. The person whose Winning Picks have the largest aggregate total score difference over the course of the season.

For example:

The aggregate total for a 3 week season would be 31+21+3 = 55 points.

Week 1: Win 45-14 (31pts)
Week 2: Win 31-10 (21)
Week 3: Win 17-14 (3)

Lock-time
All selections will lock at the scheduled kick-off of each game. Players must make sure their picks are submitted by the scheduled locktime each week. You will not be able to make selections for games that have already locked. Selections submitted after the deadline are considered invalid, and will not be counted as Winning Picks. Entrants who submit selections after the lock time and do not submit another entry for the week will earn a Strike.

Tie Games
In the event a game should end in a tie after overtime, players that had selected teams in the game as their picks for that week will neither be recorded with a Winning Pick or a Strike.

Joining in late
Players have until Week 3 to join.
If you join in Week 2, you start the game with one Strike. If you join in Week 3, you start the game with two Strikes.

Starting a bit risky with the Giants.
Back to school, back to indefinite semi-V/LA. I should still be reachable through normal means though.

Either the Giants win and I'm right or they lose and I can laugh at my Giants fan friends. Either way I'm happy.

Lol i didn't exactly express a point? But if I did, it woulda been that I just wasn't comfortable with giants IN dallas, but easy to bet against the browns on the road.

How much faith do you have in their backup QB though? My Philly-fan friends are really psyched about this trade but it's the definition of win-later.

Faith in what?

I try to go with most obvious option every week in order to stay alive as long as possible. I don't think picking certain teams to save other teams for later is a good strategy

Seatle > Miami strikes me as the safest bet this week. Its week 1, miami has new coaching and stuff they need to sort out while Seatle is home with the 12s in the opener.
