Coin Game - Game Over

An ancient tradition returns!

1.
Each player starts with 1000 coins.
2.
Each round, each player secretly spends a number of coins.
3.
The player who spends the lowest number of coins in a given round is eliminated.
4.
The player who spends the
second-lowest
number of coins in a given round receives those coins back.
5.
In case of a tie for the lowest number, the tied players play an extra round, while the lowest non-tied player receives their coins back.
6.
In case of a tie for the second-lowest number, the tied players split the refunded coins, discarding any remainder (ie a tie between two players will see each receive half their coins back, etc).
7.
When there are only two players left, five gems will be offered. Whichever players spends the most money on a gem wins it. Whichever player wins the most gems wins the game!
