Battlesat 1. The international military weapons satellite station built to protect Earth from comets and meteors. A marvel of technology and engineering.

Or it was, until all contact was lost about three hours ago. According to the report of senior systems scientist Robert Driscoll, sole survivor of the catastrophe, the station's computer systems are under attack from within. Life support failed and the security system went berzerk just as Driscoll escaped by shuttle. The culprit is an advanced strain of a class 8 virus; extremely intelligent, self-replicating, and highly anthrophobic. It is...

I am the entity you call Omega Virus. All humans within your primitive space station have been terminated. Their pitiful attempts to escape were quite amusing.

Soon, I will gain control of the offensive plasma weapons system. I will then begin systematic bombardment of planet Earth. Any interference will be met by the full force of the laser defense array.

Try and stop me. All human scum will be terminated.

You are one of four highly trained commandos dispatched by Earth's superpowers to destroy the virus and take control of the station for your country: the
North American Federation
, the
Euro-National Force
, the
Oceanic Republic
, or the
Asiatic Alliance
.


Objective
  • Search the station for the devices necessary to bypass the Virus's defenses.
  • Be the first to locate the Virus and destroy it before time runs out!
Turn Structure
  • Each turn, each player must PM me their action(s). The turn ends when all actions have been submitted.
  • On each turn, you may move and either explore a room, attack another player to steal their equipment, or fight the Virus.
  • If you have a probe, it may also move and act separately from you; however it cannot fight the virus.
  • If no player has won after 30 days, the Omega Virus completes its takeover of the systems and all players lose.
    • Each turn counts as a minimum of 6 hours.
    • Time between the last submission and when I resolve the turn does not count.
    • An inactive player's non-submissions do not count.
Movement
  • You may move up to 3 spaces per turn.
  • A probe may move any number of spaces but must stop in the first room or docking bay entered.
  • If you (or your probe) end your move in a docking bay, instead of using an action you may teleport to another docking bay.
  • You begin with a
    Green Access Card
    and may find other Access Cards through exploration.
  • You (or your probe) may not enter a room unless you have the corresponding color of Access Card.
Exploration
  • If you end your movement in a room and have the corresponding color of Access Card, you may explore that room.
  • Exploring a room may yield an Access Card, a Probe, or an Anti-Virus Device (AVD); or it may trigger the security system.
  • The
    Negatron
    AVD may be found in
    Red
    rooms.
  • The
    Disruptor
    AVD may be found in
    Blue
    rooms.
  • The
    Decoder
    AVD may be found in
    Yellow
    rooms.
  • Different players may find different things in the same room.
  • A room where you found an item before may yield a different item if you explore it again, or you may find nothing.
Combat
  • Your techsuit is equipped with energy shields on the Head, Body, Legs, and Back. It has enough power to maintain two of these shields at all times.
  • When a player or security laser attacks, they pick one of the above locations to targe
  • If the attack hits one of your active shields, it has no effect.
  • If the attack is not blocked by your shields, it may steal or destroy one of your Access Cards or AVDs, or teleport you to a random docking bay.
  • A probe can only maintain one shield and is destroyed if hit.
  • You may only attack another player if you end your move on a space they occupy at some point during their movement.
  • You may change your active shields at any time via PM.
  • Your
    Green Access Card
    may never be destroyed or stolen
Battling the Virus
  • During your explorations, you will be notified via PM if the room you are exploring contains the Virus.
  • To fight the Virus, you must be in the same room as it and have all three AVDs.
  • To successfully destroy the Virus, you must correctly guess its core configuration (1, 2, 3, or R).
  • If you guess wrong, you must wait and try again next turn.

So the human scum have sent their "heroes" to try and stop me. How amusing. In thirty minutes I will have complete control of this station's systems and victory will be mine! Mwahahahahaha!
