No, I wanted to find out what’s in the pocket(s) of the dressing gown.

It's hard to open or close the pocket unless you're wearing the gown.

How is that 6? You misinterpreted my previous action as something I never actually requested.

I'm just typing things into the actual game and copy pasting the results back into the thread here. If you want to start again you can type RESTART.

If my requests keep getting misinterpreted and the actual things I request don’t get acknowledged then how can I play this? How would restarting fix any of that?

The problem is that you are saying things like "No, I wanted to find out what’s in the pocket(s) of the dressing gown."

The game only understands simple commands like "OPEN POCKET"

So I was trying to translate for you. Maybe it's better if I only type exactly what you said?

You wake up. The room is spinning very gently round your head. Or at least it would be if you could see it which you can't.

It is pitch black.

Good start to the day. Pity it's going to be the worst one of your life. The light is now on.

Bedroom, in the bed
The bedroom is a mess.
It is a small bedroom with a faded carpet and old wallpaper. There is a washbasin, a chair with a tatty dressing gown slung over it, and a window with the curtains drawn. Near the exit leading south is a phone.
There is a flathead screwdriver here. (outside the bed)
There is a toothbrush here. (outside the bed)

Alright, so tell me what I need to say to check the dressing gown’s pockets.

Let's start with examine gown.

Bedroom Score: 0 Turns: 2

>examine gown
The dressing gown is faded and battered, and is clearly a garment which has seen better decades. It has a pocket which is closed, and a small loop at the back of the collar.

Opening the mailbox reveals a pair of peril-sensitive sunglasses.

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

Wouldn't you like to know? Oh, and by the way ...

***YOU HAVE DIED***.

(Thanks, Charles!)
