This motion lasts one second; however, mirror shields may continue to be purchased until another motion removes them from sale. [The 500 Life? It's glass. What do you expect to happen when it breaks?]

Btw did the Judge's Gavel's status affliction ever have a time limit? Status afflictions are supposed to have either that or a post limit.

Regarding stacking... Not sure... Maybe we need a proposal to fix that. Though if it did come ultimately for me to decide, I'd probably say only the duration is renewed. That'd be totally arbitrary on my part though since there's no current rules that state to do it one way or another.

457 and M021 pass. 458 fails.

Proposal 459: Status conditions cannot last for an indefinite period of time. Any status condition that fails to list a time or post count when they expire shall expire after either two weeks pass or 500 posts pass since the status condition was inflicted, whichever comes first.

That seems long enough to allow effectively indefinite status conditions without
you know
being indefinitely long status conditions. I just think its kinda bleh to get inflicted with a status condition and have no way of get rid of it.

Motion M023: This motion lasts for one second and is retroactive. This change stays in effect even after the motion expires. The following line is added to the Judge's Gavel's additional effects description: "The Unpopularity status condition lasts for 30 days."

I would like for all weapons/armor that grant status conditions to specify a time limit (or post limit) if at all possible. 30 days sounds like a more than generous amount of time for the status condition.

We tried that, but it was shot down. From a logistical standpoint, it's pretty tough to implement accurately anyway. I'd rather people make the proposals, etc. again than have to figure out the new times.

I mean having everyone take a metric ton of damage because someone left and they couldn't vote is... kinda unfair, tbh. I'll make a motion to reinstate all the failed proposals and motions, and undo the damage in that case. Also I will make a proposal to ignore the damage, at the very least that's easy to implement (just don't do the damage)
