Hey everyone, I wanted to have a hand at running a game of Skull if people are up for it!
For those of you who don't know, Skull is a betting/bluffing/risk taking game in which you're trying to trick your opponents or see through their lies
Short overview: Everyone has 4 discs (3 are flowers and 1 is a skull) and we go round putting discs down on the table and then someone starts bidding on how many discs they can flip over without hitting a skull
If you hit a skull you lose a disc at random, if you flip over all flowers then you win a point, first to 2 points wins
Spoiler: Full Rules!
1) Each round I will PM you with a number between 1-4 which will tell you what disc is your skull.
2) After receiving this PM all players must put down a disc by naming which number disc you're putting down in the thread (ie I put down disc 3)
3) Going down the list from the starting player you have 2 options: a) put down another disc on-top of your previous discs, b) start bidding
4) Once a player has started the bidding you cannot put down any more discs, you may either bid higher or back out (once backed out you can't come back in later)
5) The player who bids the highest will then start flipping over discs (you must start with ALL of your own discs)
6) When flipping over discs, you must take from the top of other players stacks first (the most recent disc put down)
^This is shown in the picture at the top
7) Discs will be revealed until you either hit a skull or find all the flowers you bid on
8) If you don't hit any skulls then the round ends and you gain a point
9) If you do hit a skull then we stop revealing discs, and the bidder will lose 1 of their discs at random (meaning you might lose you skull)
10) If you run out of discs then you are eliminated
11) We start a new round, you will get a PM telling you which number is your skull for this round and the first player will be whoever did the flipping last round
Bonus rules:
1) As part of rule 3: If you don't have any more discs to put down, you must start the bidding
2) As part of rule 5: If you've put down 3 discs but your highest bid is only 2, you will only flip over your top 2 discs
3) As part of rule 9: If you hit your own skull due to rule 5, it will not be random. You will lose a flower (if you have one to lose)
4) As part of rule 11: If the player who did bidding last was eliminated, the starting player would be the next player on the list, also first starting player will be whoever /ins first
When you're flipping over discs, please post a full list of the order of discs you wish to flip over and I will reply stating when you hit your first skull (if you do)
This is a bluffing game and as such you're free to taunt your opponents trying to bait them into flipping over your discs/pushing them away from your discs.
To emulate playing this irl: post-round, you may reveal what your discs were if they weren't revealed and thus use this to get into your opponents heads, to do this you can put in bold what your discs were (you don't have to reveal all discs, you could reveal just one, or none)
You can't lie about what you put in bold!
/Ins below, for the first game I'll take up to 8 players
Spoiler: playerlist
1) NotAJumbleOfNumbers
2) pablito
3)
Not_Mafia
4) dsjstr
5) Cheery Dog
6) BrighteningSkies
7) Jake The Wolfie
8) Gammagooey

Cool, that's our last in, I'll send out PMs saying which disk is your skull now.
Once you've got your PM you can put down your first disk straight away (order doesn't matter for first disk) and once everyone has put down their first Disk NotAJumbleOfNumbers will go first to either put down their next disk or start the bidding
