Wavelength - Game 2 Sudden Death (Team Velvet Thunder)

Post Post #0 (ISO) » Sun Jul 12, 2020 9:12 am

Welcome to
Sudden Death
mode! I, your host, am acting as the Psychic for this final round of Wavelength! The team that scores the most points wins the game. If it's a tie, we will continue with additional Sudden Death rounds until a team wins the round. You have received the following clue and card.

Card:
UnknownFamiliar

Clue: Your grandparents' house

Please keep all discussion related to this clue confined to this thread. When the round ends, I will post both team's guesses and the results to the main thread (and then you can discuss the first clue freely).
Xtoxm
is your current representative. You have (expired on 2020-07-16 16:17:42) to make a guess.

I'm like go to my grandma's house every once in a while. It's not unknown, but slightly familiar to me.

65 is a good number although I'd shift it more right, like 75.

I'd go 80, I think most people have stayed at their grandparents' enough to be familiar? If it was more than 80 we'd get a different clue

this really depends on how often you go to your grandparent's house

i think around 65 might be good, leaning towards slightly higher rather than lower? like, if i were to consider this range, things that are like 40-60 are things that are about equally familar as they are unknown. what clue would you give for that? i think this fits close to that, although like i said slightly higher

i guess that was a bad way to explain what i was thinking, so let's think about the inverse: what does placing something in the near 75 range indicate? to me, it indicates something that's definitely familiar but you aren't
completely
familiar with it. so like, maybe "your neighborhood" or something – you're probably pretty familiar with it, but you obviously wouldn't know
everything
about it. again, this depends on how often you go to your grandparent's house, but i think that "your grandparents house" is probably like one step down from this level, so i'd guess somewhere from 65-70

I get what NSG is saying, the thing with this clue that we have to crack is whether it's meant to be something that we'd be less familiar with in general which would mean it's 60-70 range or something we would be less familiar with compared to our own homes so that would mean (70-80) range.
