Just seeing if those objects were backing to the Hardware store or not.

<More thinking out loud, appreciate that you can't comment on it>
I did wonder if starting a fire in here would set off an emergency sprinkler system and cause all the doors to open under fire escape conditions.

The presence of the stove and the heater both needing gas seem to indicate there's a reason to turn the gas on, to get these working. I originally had thought of blowing the room up with someone in it for a kill, but simply starting a fire would be as easy as by placing metal (or batteries) and shredded newspaper in the microwave and turning it on.

I'm reasonably sure I'm over creating the world you have designed  (Perhaps I should co-mod one of these in the future.)

Its an unfortunate side effect of my job that I know 1,001+ ways to exploit and bypass, and break into things.
(Why pick a lock when you can just jimmy the latch in 3 seconds with basic cutlery, or failing that just pop the hinges off and remove the locked door entirely.)

Pick up Butter knife.

You open and close a sliding glass door, to see what it was hiding. Afterwards, you wonder about your intellect level ;)

You are holding: Stop Watch on Chain, Aspirin, Bandages, Zombie Injection x 3, Kettle, Batteries x4, Laser Pointer, Dirty Coffee Mug, Butterknife
Terry is holding Stick, Chili Powder, Gas Mask, Empty Superglue, Magazine , How to Find Missing Person Book, Yeast, Hops, Sugar, Batteries, How to make Alcohol Book, Wok

I'm happy with this bringing the deadline forward @Ambic, I don't have anything else on my mind to try doing in this room.

@
BM Terry
, do we want to try locking out the door by entering one last code? We can always try to get in to the brewery via the cinema or fashion store.

What do you think we should do next? I feel like you are much more experienced in forum style games, so I could use some advice here.

I think our priorities should be to get recruits and to get armed.

I note that Ambic said in the intro that defensive actions could be taken to mitigate combat and used an example of the one ring from LOTR. I have a laser pointer that I could potentially shine into someone's eyes, and you could always throw a handful of chilli powder into someones face - the old dirt in the eyes trick - crude, but could help get an edge?

Back in the Eatery, I'd like to use your cash in the seer to get some more direction.

Let me know what you think we should do. Who should we isolate, and where should we go after the eatery?

"Remember her who created what you are trying to do."

Reasoning: If the phrase was a clue left for me by Dr. Ben Nerrow (who "owned" a store in the mall), it might be referring to Mary Shelley, the Author and creator of Frankenstein's Monster. My flavor text indicated Nerrow owned a store in the Mall, it seems odd that there is a secret room hidden inside a cafe.

In the story:
Victor Frankenstein builds the creature in the attic of his boarding house through an ambiguously described scientific method consisting of chemistry and alchemy

My role is also using science and chemistry to create undead.

"Zombies have a complex literary heritage, with antecedents ranging from Richard Matheson and H. P. Lovecraft
to Mary Shelley's Frankenstein
drawing on European folklore of the undead." Zombie, -Wikipedia

I'm guessing either Mary, "6 2 7 9" or the year Frankenstein was written, "1 8 1 8" could be possible options.
Obviously I can only enter one of them.

@Ambic, I'll try to wait for BM as I have asked him if there was a copy of Frankenstein in the bookstore, I will try to wait as long as possible before posting an action in the thread in case he comes back in time.

Poop and leave it in the fridge

Use code 1 8 1 8 on the door

Assuming door opens, go inside and explore

(yes, I agree trying the door one last time is a good idea, and yes there was a book called "Dr Frankenstein's Monster" in the book store, and yes I know the poop is childish and unnecessary)

Me giving you money is not a good idea, as it will be obvious i gave it to you (as Porochaz will know till was empty, and you had no money before you went into the cafe), and there's no way I would have given you the money (as I'd be using it for myself, especially as I sacrified 1 unit of strength last time). I can use the seer when it's more helpful to us, as we have same wincon anyway.

I agree wholeheartedly on priorities being to get recruits and weapons.

I have some thoughts on who we should isolate, and where we go next, although this will depend a bit on what others are doing - I'll share in zombie chat tonight.

I will obviously get as much intel as I can when we go back into the eatery, you should do the same without causing suspicion. We can share all our intel in zombie chat.

Diagnose BM (Terry)

Hoping to check pupils, heart rate, breathing, and look for injuries etc..

Wondering if i can medically monitor players from a distance, or whether i can give them a medical inspection which might give me clues about when to use bandages or aspirin, or any other medical items i might find.
Or perhaps more pertinently, you can examine to see if they are immune to the zombie virus? a long shot though
