We should probably fix the water as well I guess. I guess that's just by pulling the lever?

I do want to find out what's in that hole, as well.

Happy to fix the gas, but if you don't want to that's fine.

THere is a small fluctuation in the power as it comes on, and you can hear engines. It would appear that the elevators are now running.

I'm assuming amb anything we say in this thread can't be heard by the person at the other end? Do we have to whisper to ensure that?

They can see you and hear snippets. If you are worried, either whisper or smash the camera

They cant see the thread

There seems to be a hole in the roof leading to the road above. The hole would be about an arms width. Perhaps the arm on the ground came through it. But the hole is blocked with something solid - some kind of metal. You push at it with your hand, but its pretty heavy whatever it is.

You can see an asphalt layer near the top of the hole. The basement must sit right underneath Hughson Highway.

"By the way, as far as 'fixing' the water... When I hit the lever before it caused the flow to accelerate, then shudder violently, then stop. It appears that Sir Leo removed this pipe from the bathroom, which is most likely the cause of the leak, so we would need to return to the bathroom to properly repair it. But we might stop the flow at least... though it might also lead to accelerated flooding from the bathroom first."
"That said, there may be a reason to remove the pipe down here... Sir Leo claims to have heard something jingling and clanging in the pipe. Likely it has already gone out to sea, but perhaps it got trapped. If we do wish to remove the pipe, of course I suggest shutting off the water at the lever first."

For clarity:

The room is underground, specifically under the road. The hole would go through to the surface and let sunlight through, but there is something on the hole blocking it. That something is made of metal. For more, you might have to get out to the road and take a look

Lets try at least and see what we get from this pipe?

As for the gas I'll leave that up to you whether you want to fix it or not.

"As I said before, I am more worried at present about the gas being weaponized than I am about it being needed, but perhaps we can compromise... The valves are stuck. I cannot loosen them alone. Let's try to loosen the valves so that if the gas becomes necessary it can be repaired by one person."

I mean I'm not bothered either way and I'd rather not give someone the chance, especially alone.

The lever is now down.
You can hear water rushing from behind the wall, much louder than before

You turn the north most valve, and then stop turning any others.

Like I said, the first time it got fast before it stopped. But there was also someone in the bathroom so perhaps he did something.

To answer Johannes about my explanation here is a 12 second drawing:
Image

The hole is much smaller than depicted. I am not a geo engineer, the room hasnt collapsed, so it must be built correctly to handle cars driving over it.

“So it does not appear the water is responding quite the same way this time. Either that or it is taking much longer. I wonder if there was a second step in the bathroom, or if it was merely a one-time thing such as a blockage being dislodged. Just to check...”
Look through pipe (the one I brought with me)

The pipe is empty, but it just seems as though it shouldn’t be missing from where ever it came... yes, the water is still rushing.
