And as we learned with this flashlight, cannot pickpocket an item someone is actively holding.

Tears out the pages of the book enough that it lights up from the match

When the book is too on fire to hold any longer, throw the remains down the elevator shaft

Turn off flashlight

You have to ask? The paperclip breaks the lock and they can never be opened is my guess.

You remember that there was grease at the bottom of that shaft

A small amount of smoke is now, a rather more significant amount of smoke.

The CCTV shows smoke coming from the Phone store and out into the eatery.

It does on screen look like water is spraying onto the floor outside the door. So at least the mall has that - but they might not have any in the elevator shaft.

We should close the elevator shaft and doors.. There was a lot of grease down there, and it occurs to me that we just threw a flaming book.. into a grease filled elevator shaft..
Oh and the phone store probably is now on fire.

*Whistles innocently and wanders to the cctv side of the room.

I don't want to have to explain to the crew why we were burning books.....

It wasn't our fault - The explosion did that.

The elevator lowers to your floor. It opens but its smoky. Breathing in it may prove difficult.

I have a gas mask.... just one gas mask

We could take turns wearing it. 30 seconds each turn, hold breath while other person wears it

And we're still here for a bit longer anyway. Hopefully the smoke will have died down some by the time we need to travel down to the Eatery.

Smoke starts to fill the room quite a bit heavier. The blaze is a problem. From the TV, you know it has to be isolated to the shaft - there is water (actually foam, because water doesnt put out grease fires) in the phone store.
