From here, you are under the cafe. You can hear something like the walls being ripped apart up there, metal being torn. What on earth is going on up there? The gaspipes on the wall are shuddering from the force.
You arrive underneath what is probably the lab. There is machinery here, but it all seems to be off. THe machinery looks suspiciously like some kind of nuclear device, and a lot of lead casing. There are cables running up from it to and through the roof.
You can see damage at the top of the machine, like it was vaporised. A small amount of the floor is missing, and you can see into the lab. You can see the edge of some kind of machine. Could be the portal machine. You can make out the arm of a dead body through the gap.
The machines seem harmless. The radioactive compound would have been in the vaporised parts of the machine. If this place was bombarded with radioactivity once, it probably dissipated once the machine was destroyed (Shush Nuclear physics experts who say 'Thats not how it works') :-p
“I might be able to enlarge the hole with the crowbar so we can try to destroy “the machine” while Xavier is out. And/or the teleporter. Is it worth the risk?”
In the lab you can see some bodies. Nexus(Cindy) is clearly visible. SHe is covered in debris. She is lying in the centre of what appears to have been an explosion. She seems to be next to someone so similar as to be her twin. There is a male body in a cloning vat. It seems to be dead. It has an electric cable running to the remains of the reactor. The exits from the room appear to be destroyed.
You can see the machine that seems to be the portal. It has a cable running into the ground, and you can see that cable running down along the wall of tunnel toward the basement. It's not running from the reactor, so that cable is probably live.
