OBSOLETE: White Screen of Senility?

Getting several 'out of memory errors' this morning when loading pages/editing the wiki, alternating with a plain blank white screen and working page loads.

When I get an error at all, it reads similar to this:

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 786432) (tried to allocate 311296 bytes) in /home/mafia/public_html/forum/includes/template.php(127) : eval()'d code on line 126

Might or might not be related, but I'm having huge trouble editing the first post of my game.
I click on submit and literally nothing happens. Posting works just fine though..

I've had the same error show up a couple of times in the last hour or so.

Also, all the "last post" bits on the main forum index seem to have stopped updating.

Haven't been able to recreate this yet, so hard for me to say what's causing it. We're a bit high on memory usage this morning, though.

Ok, I got the white screen, but after updating the dontpanic the site is back to normal for me. Not sure what that means.

If it happens again, I'll try posting on the fallout shelter, to see if it's specific to this forum/database, or if it's just the server getting a bit overloaded (we may need a bit more memory, or we may just need to optimize some things - like getting off phpbb2).

Not getting it now, no. But for the record, I was getting it in the wiki too - not sure if that's the same database or a separate one.

Separate. If I had to guess, I'd say we just got a little overloaded on memory, which was affecting the most memory-intensive scripts (posting.php, and some of the wiki stuff).

Cool. It was weird for my brain that we overloaded at 7AM in the U.S., but then I realized that's probably prime time in Europe.

So when is the ebb-tide time, for working on the wiki and testing scripts and the like?
