Interesting. I don't generally load the site from Windows (Linux), so that makes some sense... on the other hand, Iamgetting the 'can't edit particular pages' problem mentioned in the other thread. I suspect they have the same root cause, since they showed up about the same time.

This appears to be computer-specific—the site works correctly at my sister's apartment, but it messes up on my bedroom computer at home regardless of if I try my usual Firefox or Internet Explorer. (There are two other computers at home I can try.)
ETA:My mom's laptop is affected (again, with both FF and IE). Unable to check my dad's computer because IE refuses to load and FF is not there.STRANGERCOUG: Stranger Than You!

I found an interesting workaround for the pages that won't load completely:
- Look at the last post number that loaded correctly and remember it.
- If you don't have something like http://www.mafiascum.net/forum/viewtopi ... 7&start=25 in the URL box, click on one of the page buttons so you do.
- Change the number after &start= to the number from step 1.

Yeah I just started doing that today for isos, but couldn't figure out how to do it for the whole thread. Thanks!StrangerCoug wrote:I found an interesting workaround for the pages that won't load completely:

My best guess is that the entire site, domain-wide, is having a problem with parsing and returning requests. Not only form submittals, but graphics and code requests too. I suggest rebooting the server, or even switching servers (again, eek) if that doesn't work. Cause this is 100% unacceptable.Show"Take me to Pleasure Town!" "Look, the most Glorious Rainbow Ever!" Is this still intermittent for people because it has been constant for me. (I have done all things said in thread).
The workaround works, but is tedious to do for rereads and stuff and it is very annoying. But I am VLA for the weekend again (not that anyone here cares) so heyho,
thanks for working hard all.- StrangerCoug

That's odd. I got off my HughesNet connection to use my Cricket connection because Windows Live Messenger works better on that, and the Cricket connection doesn't give me the site problem.STRANGERCOUG: Stranger Than You!

Yeah, I haven't been having any problems using Cricket. I also didn't have any problems while using Comcast, or my 3G connection on my phone.Looking for experienced designers to help me design, a sequel to my Nintendo Mafia game!SONY MAFIA

Yeah, I had this problem too. Just upload to tinypic.com or [POSSIBLEis.gdSPAM] or bit.ly or etc. and then link to it.Looker wrote:I couldn't upload a new avatar from my machine either; had to do it from a different web page.
It will still upload it to ms.net and display from locally on the ms server.Show"Take me to Pleasure Town!" "Look, the most Glorious Rainbow Ever!" "Do me on it!" -

speakin' of which, Flay...
Is there a way to turn off that dreadful [POSSIBLE SPAM] crap? I find that that's crampin' my style more often than I'd like to admit.Show"Take me to Pleasure Town!" "Look, the most Glorious Rainbow Ever!" "Do me on it!" -

The site loads fine on HughesNet now. Haven't tried editing a long post yet, but I will eventually.
ETA:The problems with the long posts are still there.STRANGERCOUG: Stranger Than You!
