Small bugs and maybe feature requests ;)

Initially, this topic was titles "Managing PMs"
maybe there's nobody that gets lots of messages, but didn't the PM thingie have a MOVE function between (at least) the four folders:?:

PS The "Save checked messages" function DOESN'T work. Is it just me?

And another thing: What's UserGroups supposed to be?

4. " Jump to: " is Java-onchanged. What's the purpose of the Go button? ;)

No...I'll look into that.

And another thing: What's UserGroups supposed to be?

Groups of Users :-)
I can set a user_level field in the sql database that determines this...right now we're not using it for anything other than differentiation between normal users and Jedi...err, administrators.

4. " Jump to: " is Java-onchanged. What's the purpose of the Go button?

well then i guess there was no move function! ;)

Here's something i recently encountered: while posting, the topic review iframe has only the discussion (now that i checked it, it only has the last N posts) of that topic. While i didn't browse using that iframe
very often
, i knew i could and sometimes i used that possibility to go to the forum and check on other discussions. (and SURELY i used it to see the first page! ;) ) Why did you had to make a script for reviewing? I VERY MUCH enjoyed myself one time when i was posting something, remembered i had a more important task and posted to another topic from the iframe below! :)

5. Will there never be any indication of editing posts ?
6. the black mafiascum.net at top (the usual RIGHT one) is not a link anymore. When i discovered the LEFT one i thought "silly me!", but it turns out that it's a link to M.mine.nu/phpbb2...
7. i can only delete a post of mine if it's the last in the topic! =[ ((So i DO have some invisible! In this case it's white/invisible because i think you won't be able to do anything about it =b))

I took a screenshot and looked up the hex triplet of the background with GIMP...seems to work quite well ;-)

I can't find the mafiascum.mine.nu link...there shouldn't be one. *hasn't grepped the page and probably won't unless someone else complains*

You can toy with the code...it's phpbb.(com|net)...don't remember which.

since this whole board is pretty much all mafia games- could we get mafia tags?
like VOTE: SK would produce
vote: SK

UNVOTE: SK would make
unvote: SK

and [f]SK[/f] would get you
FOS: SK

but this requset is probably me just me being lazy again ;)

Never checked "td.row1 { background-color: #EFEFEF; }" ??? ;)
i hate SMALL tips like ~<span class="gensmall"> <input ... name="helpbox" ... style="width:450px; font-size:
10px
" ~ 10 pixels fcol???

And may i toy w/ the board code offline too? I don't really need a server?

The link i was talking about is this: Image Do you need a copy of an old page, with the encircled text being a link to http://mafiascum.mine.nu/?

I know...it seems as though someone at [insert whoever happens to own my ISP this week] no longer allows direct linking of pictures. If you happen to know who owns my ISP right now, let me know and I'll have some words with them. Not that it would matter...I told them their homepage was too big and took forever to load which was stupid because 95% of their customers are on modems. I included in my message that I have tested it on several browsers, ALL RUNNING UNDER LINUX. They replied that I should clear my temporary internet items under the Internet Explorer settings. Seriously though, if you do know who owns my ISP right now then let me know so I can find out what's going on. It goes like this: FlashNet->Prodigy->SBC...at which point it gets murky as to whether Yahoo or SBC owns it or if it's a joint venture or if SBC owns it and slapped the Yahoo name on it as some sort of whacked 'Value Added' branding that no one cares about but markerters think is really cool. All I know is that I'm going to keep using it until I can't login with Linux anymore because I don't care what they do as long as they leave me alone. The only reason I'm still with whoever it is I'm with is because (despite the idiocy) they do have an extremely reliable service that hasn't been down in over a year and I can always login on the first try. Of course, that may have something to do with the fact that I've been using "obsolete" access numbers for years now :-). I was kind of angry, however, when the original FlashNet numbers stopped working.

Wow, that was a long post. I'm not sure that had anything to do with your problem, but I feel better now. :-)

Q, I love you.
On another note, you could search the whois thingie to see who's running your ISP's webpage, it most likely will give you some real life information about its HQ. Or you could call customer service and ask to speak to the manager :)

Or, like any good American, I could sit on my bum and complain whilst doing nothing.

Can this thread possibly stray any more off-topic?

On second thought, don't answer that. I don't want to know what will happen if this thread gets any more off-topic.

Oh, drat...and here I was hoping for the thread to devolve into a discussion of midgets, bad coffee, and how my monitor gave up its merry ghost this afternoon. :P

All coffee is bad coffee.

I can get you a nice 17" monitor for $50 at the saturday sale in Dallas. Sometimes I can even get them for $40, depending on how desperate the seller is to unload them.

Midgets are people and therefore shouldn't be discussed without the input of a member of that particular demographic.

I agree about coffee. I have no info on monitors at this time, and I suggest we switch to talking about Polocks at Q's suggestion.
