the ornage notices, (like the light bulbs on the gl) only light up when you arrive, wheny uo leave one forum they al go out, on the gl they stay lit until you close the browser, ya know, has this been said already?

Personally, I quite like it the way it is here - it marks things read as I read them, and that way I don't go back and read the same post three times like an idiot because I forgot to hit the "mark read" button.

The lights go out as I read each thread. It would seem that the usefulness of such indicators would be nil if they all went out if you only viewed a forum and not the individual threads. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you.

what happens with me, when i check one forum, say little italy, thren click the "mafiascum.net forum index" link, and it takes me back to the forum listings, all the lihgts go out, whne say 4/5 forums were lit up as i clicked on little italy, once i returen to the index, intendin on taking a peep into general discusion, all the lights are out, like it tells me once what forums have new posts in them, but after that, no more. maybe its just my shitty comp

Try pressing the back button? I think pressing the link is like refreshing the page.
