editing alert gone?

Hey, did someone just turned off the editing alert? I edited my (last) posts both in here and in here...

The functionality of the edit alerts has always bewildered me. I think there's a short period of time right after you post in which you can edit without having the alert shown.

About 30 minutes or so. The same time that you can actually delete a post you made.

You mean i can't delete a post made two days ago that still has the X available (meaning it's still last)???

Incidentally, you're (both) right about the delay. The edit-counting starts sometime later, from 1.
