I'd like to point out that it's really annoying when people post in spam threads, can we please have a policy of deleting the whole thread to discourage this?

There's a difference between spamming in spam threads and posting in spam threads. So what if spam starts a topic of discussion?

in spam threads. It's not that you're spamming yourself, it's that you're aggravating the spam by bumping it to the top of the forum. If you want to have a real discussion about it,

make a new thread
