Thanks for spotting what the exact problem was. It may be possible to fix, now.
Nobody Special wrote:An odd error (a feature?): When I click on the New Posts icon for only these three threads in this group, I am taken to the top of the newest page, not to the latest post. This doesn't happen anywhere but these three threads. Also, this just started today. Yesterday was 'normal' (for certain expected values of normal).
Update: I thought it was because those three threads ("Announcements") had the italic 'i' as a thread icon; but another thread with the same icon (/in-vitational 2) does not behave like that.
Unrelated: Why does the "I can't unlock my thread" thread have a biohazard icon attached to it?
The difference is that these are global announcements, and the /in-vitational is a forum-specific announcement... doesn't answer why they are behaving like that, of course...
I assume the biohazard icon is a result of Flay playing with the topic icon feature (which we won't be enabling any time soon, but maybe in the future).

I've been playing with that when sending PM's. The stars my favourite >.< Please dont get rid of it!
Seriously. Read your role PM before playing.
I am sorry if you have to prod me, I have absolutely no concept of time.
My prefered pronoun set is "cie/cir/cirs[elf]" but they is more than acceptable.

I searched the KB at phpbb.com for 'global announcement cookie' and found this ticket.
Not sure whether this is specifically what's happening here; I do regularly read all new posts in my "View Your Posts" view (but that's not a forum); and I never use Mark As Read for anything.
Also, that ticket seems like it's already fixed.

There seems to be an error with the new ISO function. Whenever I ISO someone who only made one post in the thread, the "display posts from previous" and "display posts by user" functions disappear.

For now, just go back up and click the topic title and it should bring you back to the full topic and you can select another user from there.
I'll look into the issue further later.

Another very minor peculiarity: There are now over 9200 users in the member list. On the locked version of the old forum there were a few thousand fewer. My guess is that 'deleted' users lost whatever flag hid them from view during the transition process. Something to ponder when the bigger fish have been fried.

I've seen a bunch of [Bot] and [Spider] users showing up in the registered users online list at the bottom of the front page. Might be related

I am confused. With the new post-conversion READ THIS FIRST thread, are we supposed to be letting this thread die?
Anyway -- there used to be a link in each post (on the left, I think, near user info) for Back to Top [of page]. Any chance of getting this back? I miss it terribly.
This thread is for reporting problems with the conversion of the posts (missing content, problems with encoding of characters, broken links, the sort of thing listed in the OP). This thread is for reporting problems with phpbb features and discussing possible additional features.
The FAQ provides a central location for the answers to questions that keep popping up in both threads (and elsewhere), and for progress updates that don't fit in either.
Anyway, to answer your question: The "Back to Top" feature can now be found in the form of a little arrow in a circle at the bottom right of each post.
There's a couple of players reporting they had content lost in the move. Is there any way this can be restored? Game is in theme park - A clash of Kings Mafia, if it matters.

A significant number of posts have been reported as truncated, and we are currently looking into a way to restore them automatically instead of having to go post by post. Thanks for reporting it.

Having the same problem with truncated posts in Star Wars Mafia in Theme Park, specifically a few posts by ooba. The old forums aren't loading for me at the moment, but I'll try again later.
- A few of my PMs are truncated and have weird text - esp ones where I had nested quotes
- I cannot create a new post in the Queue forum for a large theme game signup - says "I do not have the requisite permission"
If you look at the HTML for that second page, you can see that the first two post elements are the only ones that are where they belong.
Each 'guest' post pulls the subsequent posts up a level. So my guess is there is a </div> getting output where it should not, likely in the portion that makes up the left part of the post.
