For some odd reason, I can't access mafiascum from work. Our internet isn't filtered - I can go to any other website I've tried, even porn, but for some reason, it can't locate mafiascum.net.

Any ideas why this could be?
This sounds
exactly
like what happened to us yesterday. I could go anywhere -- but timed out when trying mafiascum. I just unplugged/replugged everything (including the modem) and that worked for me.

I have no idea why this problem exists... it is not mafiascum specific, but affects all sites on that server. We HAVE had server load issues, but I have no idea why some people have 100% failure.
I'll talk to Hy(if I EVER see or hear from him) about how much extra it costs to go to a dedicated server.
I have this problem too, the strange thing for me though, I tell other friends to try it, and it works for them, but I try refreshing, and nothing happens.

Hmm. Interesting. Can you send me the links to the porn sites? I think I might know what's wrong with it, but I gotta make sure.

i has appeared three times at home and with i was staying with a relitive it happened with their computer aswell. it won't let me on to the site at all no matter what link (from my reply notification emails) i use. but i found that i could get on to the main page by typing in the URL but then it won't let me on to the forum. when it happened i just did something else for half an hour and it worked when i get back.
has anyone else had this problem and what should i do if it hapens again. i have already told fletcher (the moderator of the game that i am in at the moment) incase i happens and i can't post for several days. he said that the best person to go to about this is jeep.

is seems that both ns1.sprintlink.net and ns2.sprintlink.net do not resolve mafiascum for either A or SOA records. This will cause anyone using those DNS servers not to be able to access here. I recently found this when helping Sketchwick.
I have no problem accessing from work, but get this problem at home frequently. Refreshing and reloading the page doesn't help. However, davidangelsummers has the same problem, and found that if we disconnect, clear offline content, and then enter the URL and reconnect when prompted, we get a lot more luck.
I think that Summers and I have the same ISP, so perhaps it's related to that somehow.

This sounds like my problem. I am also in London and I have Wannadoo broadband at home. Can you clarify what you mean by "clear offline content" so I can try this?
