I need to log in twice

Whenever I try to log in it returns the page in guest mode, but at "Who is online" there is my name. When I log in for a second time it works, but I can't see which threads had new posts. Anyone knows how to stop this?

Are you arriving at the site through a bookmark? It may help to login, THEN re-bookmark the site. For some reason this has made a difference to whether the site thinks I'm logged in, in the past.

If not, I'd say double-check your cookie settings, and wait for the new hosting site...

No I haven't bookmarked it, just auto-completed.
This problem happens with IE and Firefox.

this has happened to me a few times (apart from the not being able to see what things i haven't read yet) but i have no idea what is causing it. I have internet explorer if it is relevant
