In this post (and others) the right side of the quoted text appears "blacker".

I can guarantee you there is nothing in the forum software/CSS doing that. Download Colorzilla or similar addon to prove it to yourself.

Sounds like your monitor (LCD most likely?) is slightly tilted... I often notice a difference from top to bottom, or right to left.

That is so weird. You are correct, I can move my monitor and it changes the color from blacker to normal. Odd.

It's a characteristic of LCD screens. It's gotten better/more subtle as time goes on, but there's always going to be an optimum viewing angle.

(sorry to get the last word in your locked thread, just clarifying the physics/optics of it all)
