completely messed up poll function. Interesting how it saves old choices even after I competently clear the poll an only add two options. The poll function is simply broken.

Did this get cleared up? I saw you were discussing it in thread.

No because korts locked me out of the OP so I couldn't test it. Now I think I'm un-locked and I'm going to try it again.

Seems okay now, not sure though.

When polls are merged, it screws up. The only way to fix it is to blank the poll and start a new one.

Bumping this because I can't make a new poll on the Minecraft thread. It shows multiple copies of some of the options I want in the new poll and also shows options deleted (multiple times) from previous polls we've taken.

I'm sorry, I've forgotten what my mental (untried) solution was for this back when CD was having problems.

It probably involved splitting off the old first post of the thread and then trying to create a poll under the new thread ID.

Hmmm. How would that work? Our OP has also changed hands at some point - but from what I can see all the glitchy poll options are from ones that I've put up on the thread, so I'm not sure that matters.

Even if the OP changes hands, it still has the same t=ID. Splitting the OP would (in theory) get rid of broken old poll data that is almost surely associated with that topic ID.

Otherwise, you're basically looking for somebody to dig into the database and clear out the bugginess by hand, which will take longer with current staffing (it's not something that can be done via ACP).

I understand, and either way it's not a huge issue since the need has passed ad wasn't ZOMGNEEDTHIS to begin with. Just wanted to bring it to te attention of people who'd have some reason to care I guess...? Might be a larger issue but what do I know.

Yeah, there is some larger issue going on there, but given that we're a couple of versions behind on phpBB3, it's hard to tell if it's a problem with some mod we've made, or just bad base code, or what.
