"Edition" lmao.

What school was this? I think it needs more purging of the staff.

In America it's "edition"

I understand that in Europe it's "addition" but that therefore changes the order of the mnemonic and therefore in America the answer is 42 while in Europe it's 30

I also know a person who, as a kid, was told the name of the letter H in Portuguese, and then tried to read a word (let's say "hour" for the sake of translation) with the H-name--creating an abomination like "aitchour". (H is "agá", the word in question was

BEDMAS.

BODMAS does not account for exponents (unless 'of' means exponents in Australian).

I never remember what the Of is actually for, since we never really use it anyway.
Could be exponents though.

If we used captchas instead of maths problems we could avoid this.

abc was an actual person and couldn't have been prevented by captchas. Captchas are to stop automatic spammers, so I'm not sure what your point is.
