I want to be able to prevent edits.

By 'your game', you mean games you're modding or playing? If the latter, that's not happening. If the former, it should have already happened.

You also can't 'prevent' edits. You could put it in a ruleset to NOT edit.

For example. In my craps game, people are using the tag to roll the dice. I want to prevent editing to make sure they cant roll again if they don't like the result.

Thing is, you can't prevent edits.

You should maybe already have mod privileges for creating the thread in Mish Mash? TopicMod privs are down on the bottom of the page somewhere.

If it says static on it, it means they've edited it.

No, they can just edit to delete the roll and add a new one and it wont say static.

Anyway, my name is still in a non-mod color, so I don't think I have any privleges.

If it's already posted, it will.

And yes you do. It's at the very bottom right of the page, iirc.

nope. if you edit it out, you get the same roll. If you change the roll and then add it again, it adds static.

Yes, but if you delete the reply, you can post again with a new diceroll. It's chancy though because someone might see you, AND there's logs if someone is getting suspiciously lucky with the dice.

:edit: Also no longer possible in Mish-Mash. EBWOP or GTFO.
Retired as of October 2014.

(also: it
is
possible to lock posts against editing, but not with normal topic mod powers. And it would be a huge pain to go through locking every post in the thread individually, and it wouldn't really help in that situation)
(Mostly) on hiatus until further notice. Planet MafiaScum 2 will be modded by Inspi and JDGA - go check it out!

How did you do this?

Removed the ability to delete one's own posts?
