Weird characters from the past

Hey chamber (or whoever wants to be bothered),

Some time during some crash recovery at some point (I think), posts that contain weird characters got blanked out. So something like:
http://67.222.17.61/archive/viewtopic.p ... 84#1442484 (note the first letter)
gets changed to:
http://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.ph ... 4#p1442484

Also, any posts where anyone quotes or mentions KaleiÐoscøpe is basically obliterated.

Is there any hope for
A) restoring the posts?
B) removing ability to user special characters from usernames in the future?

I'm pretty sure that is an artifact of the upgrade or the Great Rollback, and it's a known but low priority problem (because they are old posts). We ran a script to fix some of them, but it stalled or got rolled back by some later development.

Ah, okay. I was just bringing it to light in case it was unknown. It's low priority is completely understood.
