As the title says- can't upload my avatar cause it says "The uploaded avatar file is empty." I made sure it's not bigger than 100x100 and has appriopriate weight. Tried many different pics and none of them worked. Any ideas?
1 minute difference in posting the same thread lol. I am having the same problem, if your having it at the same time I am guessing it just happened very recently.

Yep, I'm having the same problem, hence no avatar.
You've reached that age, Listy. 24, 25...Your muscles give up, they wave a little white flag of surrender and without any warning at all, you're suddenly a fat bastard...
There are space issues on at least one of the servers right now. Until we get a permanent fix for it, priority has to go to making sure the daily backups take place. So avatars are not being 'fixed' right this moment, no. No ETA until we hear more about why this keeps happening.
I'll kick in a fiddy. Although I imagine the problem is more to do with backup storage.
What's with the 'delete old avatar' (or similar) option when uploading a new one - Is it really necessary to have the option to save unlimited previous avatar images?
Money isn't exactly the problem at present, it's a configuration or allocation issue. Our server and hosting are donated, and the cost to move to an independent service would far exceed current donations.
Maybe as a temporary measure, some of the older posts in the images and video threads could be moved off somewhere? That would free up some space, wouldn't it?

This is fine and dandy, but is it possible for us to get the configuration/allocation we need from our gracious host?
PayPal wants me to revivify my credit card by waiting to see what a code is on a $2 charge for some f&$$&$ reason
It said I couldn't use my card even tho I paid for the tees with it
*cough* Put the donate link in a crumb at the bottom of the page please
Also there are heaps of providers which will give you next to nothing hosted VM access and then you just have to organise your server maintenance and drip-feed your own backups offsite...

It's a work in progress.
talah: We used to be on a shared commercial host. We were MUCH smaller then and hit the CPU limits all the freakin' time.
