Confirmation E-Mail Not Arriving

I tried to register for an account, but it's not working. I filled out my username, password, and all that other stuff, and it said that they sent my confirmation e-mail, but it's not in my inbox. It's not in my spam folder either. I tried again, making sure I entered my e-mail address correctly, but it still hasn't been sent. Is there always a delay, or is this new? Please help.
