How do I enable site chat?

Sorry - I managed to sign in and out of it before but I think the method changed and I can't figure out how to opt in and out now :\

User Control Panel > Board Preferences > Edit Display Options > "Enable Chat"> Yes

(i also like "Enter Chat Lobby Automatically > No" so that if there's a lot of talk in the lobby and i need to focus on something, i can close the lobby for a while.)
