Is there a reason there's no automatic access to Private Topic creation? (Is there some reason I may not have access currently?) Could there be a separate non-modding user group assigned to those who simply want PT access when they're not currently modding a game?

It's extremely useful for on-site discussion of setups or themes, and I was expecting to use it for this exact purpose but I'm not set to start a Micro I'm modding for a little while and I'd like to plan a Large Theme in the meantime. Not to mention the fact that it feels silly to have to /in to mod somewhere just to get access to this great forum...

Its difficult to police appropriate use given that few people have read access to all PTs. It's not generally intended as a place to hold private conversations for instance.

Gotcha. It's just a much easier format than PMs, can be bookmarked, and is on-site. Shame though.
