I see a note that you should use Bcc: with role pms. Why?
How is the Bcc field treated differemtly?

None of the recipients of BCC know who else was BCC'd on the PM (it stands for Blind Carbon Copy and is how BCC works for email and other systems). This is useful for sending VT PMs for example.

The mod of my first game actually did that mistake
Game had to be reshuffled, luckily it was open (newbie)

Ideally, do what I do and send out every role PM one at a time, even if it's VT, in a random order. That prevents any attempts to cheat via timestamps (which should be illegal anyway but you never know).
BCC is useful for things like daystart PMs, though.

BCC seems basically the same as CC for something as public as daystart
It is, but it's less spammy because it doesn't have a list of names everywhere, and it helps hide whether you're using unusual mechanics (e.g. hidden players).
You don't. On the other hand, you can typically assume that players know their own name.
(Still, you shouldn't be sending out PMs that need to be personal en masse anyway in case people do things like comparing timestamps. They shouldn't, but there's no reason to leave a loophole like that in the game.)

Weird, I had a BBC role PM from a mod that had my name in it, so I figured there must be some way unless he sent imdividual PMs and just hit BBC on them for some reason.

Id modkill if people compared timestamps of role pms cuz that breaks the spirit of the quote role pm rule.

Oh, I'd have to too if that stood any chance of working.
However, I'd rather set things up so that it has no chance of working, so that I don't end up having to modkill if someone tries it. Games work so much better if nobody has to be modkilled.

Activity Overview automatically puts things in BBC, and if I mod a mini or something, there's a chance I'd use that to find people.
Or at least I'd be doing that from the sign-up thread if I modded large themes.
