When you're editing your signature, make sure the box for "Disable BBCode" is unchecked. If you're still not seeing your BBcode in your signature, it might be because of your display settings. Go to:

User Control Panel > Board preferences > Edit display options

Look for "Enable bold and color BBcode in sigs; Disable automatic sig-hiding" and set it to "Yes."
