Security Problem - Account Activation

Hi, I'm naturalbreadcrumbs, and I just registered on this site to play Mafia.
When I registered, the board said it flagged my IP as malicious, and so did not activate my account, presumably to protect this forum against malicious people.
However, I hit the "Resend my activation email" link, right below the "I forgot my password" link on the login screen, and it sent an activation email to my email address anyways, which is why I'm a registered user right now.
Is this a security hole? It seems like a minor one at best, but I talked with people in the lobby chat and they thought it merited a post here anyways to get your attention.
