yeah i messed up the checkmate, that sucks

and e6's goal was partly to make the rook sac, i also had a pretty decent response planned for rook takes but i forgot it lol

i think you played better in the midgame / opening, but you had a few slips that could've cost you quite a lot

i literally like don't play correspondence ever apart from on mafiascum, i even dislike classical chess tournaments too slow for me

i treat it like a blitz game because i have no patience

Yeah i liked my position going into the early middlegame, had I spent more time calculating e6 and realizing it was a thing, i wouldn't have played a dumb slow trappy move like ...Qa4 ?? my Qb3 -> Qa2 is just too slow

basically there are lines where I can either play Rxb2 if you move your queen away from that square or Qxa3/Qxc3 if you end up moving a piece to e3 or something

...d4 was a way better move i think that i found shortly after i played Qa4, oh well that's why i don't play correspondence

yeah same, i spent 5 minutes on a move at most lol

yeah, i saw you tried to create a trap but like, it was a pretty telegraphed one as you didn't even have some "fake threat" to distract me, good idea though

d4 wasn't that bad imo? idk i might calculate it wrong but Cxd4 doesn't make stuff go wrong as you have b3 in case of c3

the "fake threat" was Qb3 -> Qa2 which is a thing but just way too slow, there were at least 3 total threats which is why i thought it was a good move conceptually

but i just can't be making moves that slow like that in a position as dynamic and unbalanced as ours, even if didn't think e6 was good enough on first glance i should've thought about your alternatives for a lot longer
