Even if we get into a forced mate scenario I would prefer to play it out until I can see it, as a learning experience

I was, i don’t think it’s necessarily rude and prob depends on the person, I just find that it’s useful for me to try and see when I notice a forced mate on myself vs having it presented? Idk if that totally makes sense, but it’s like another way to practice predicting the opponents moves

Likewise! Was a learning experience, I wondered about playing d6-d5 to chase the bishop off first but remembered hearing somewhere that you’re meant to play it in 1 go in the accelerated dragon so though I could wait a move. Felt like I was lost from the moment the Bishop got to d6

i don't believe you're lost after I get Bd6? but it's definitely not super fun, Nb5->Nc7 is really annoying, im not sure what the best way to counter that is (you probably have to play a6 at some point and maybe compromise with Bf8

I think when i make the setup i did you can just go d6 instead of e6 and accept that I essentially played a dragon while castling kingside, which is very okay for black

e6->d5 isn't as much of a strong idea anyway when my knight on b3 is unblocking my d-file control
