I mean scum can be 8-ball
I also don’t know If scum come into this game day 8-balling the *most obvious* 8ball since town is probably aware of that possibility
I’d vote Penguin here
Nsg is still fairly underwhelming but so is everyone so that isn’t enough to nail anyone down as “underwhelming because scumhunting is fake, therefore scum”
If scum win this I feel it will mainly be from town’s lack of effort tbh
Who are you willing to vote here Gamma?
Saudade hasn’t been so towny I would never ever vote them but like I said I don’t think both off-wagon players are scum and I think Penguin slot is worse than saudade right now

I mean I'm voting Jingle rn
I also felt a desire to lynch Sausage at one point, and those associations mentioned make me feel like he could be running a similar bamboozle to the DDU game I replaced into recently

How can you say I'm not scumhunting? I gave very clear reads & reasons. The read on Saudade isn't based on "PoE," it's based on his play. Yes, I townread NSG & you, and I don't think Jingle is Saudade's partner. That leaves Gamma & Penguin as Saudade's partner. You might think it's unrealistic that both scum were off wagon, but you'd be wrong. There's plenty of mislynches in the history of mafia that happened solely through town votes. You can't say I'm "looking for mislynches" unless you know Saudade, Gamma, & Penguin are town? You're townreading all those players?
I’m townreading Gamma slightly, and I still don’t think Saudade/Penguin is worth pursuing really
An all-town mislynch is less likely in 8p than usual mafia circumstances, and “it’s happened before” doesn’t negate its incredibly low probability
I do actually sorta townread your entrance to this game though
Ughhhh if I win I feel like it will be on accident, I don’t feel like I have strong reads

Ok so this was the only post connecting the unskipped night to talking with buddies
I feel like this joke could be made even with daychat and as such isn’t clearing
I would have cleared someone if they used serious spec based on that idea to accuse someone or make theories
Obv not doing that anymore as the thought process is out there

Would like GE to elaborate on 144 and 145 if possible.
144: given Relly created he setup idea I’d believe any questions to be genuine. So they’re not playing dumb, making playing dumb not his plan. That was poorly written out earlier as I wrote it on the fly without fully sequencing the logic behind it.
145: Mafia has daychat, but some might not realize. I wanted to see if anyone tried to connect the long night to no daychat so I could give them townpoints. The only person to do it was Saudade, in a joke post which I feel scum could still make.

Explain why you were willing to vote Penguin's slot prior to my replacement but after I started towning my slot up (your words) you suddenly want to lynch me and keep Penguin alive.

This is Irrelephant townreading my entrance to the game. Yet he votes me?
I’ve never been thrilled about lynching Penguin’s slot, and I was more willing to compromise there when I thought his activity was AI. I’ve said all day I think it’s dumb to vote off wagon, and the only reason I’d vote Saudade is if it’s the only vote that could go through (he has a vote already)
I think you’ve *felt* marginally more towny than CJ and your play looks more like scumhunting but all your conclusions seem wrong to me and it feels agenda-y
More importantly I townread nsg and Jingle more than you or Gamma and I’ve said all gameday I want to lynch on wagon

? Sort of town read your entrance and then voted you based on wagon dynamics and his Saudade/me stance.
You're putting a lot of emphasis on the first and ignoring the last.

What's my agenda with my reads? How are my conclusions wrong? Put yourself in my shoes. Assume I'm town. From that perspective, what should my conclusions be?

Why is it dumb to vote off wagon? I think it's likely that there's one scum off wagon. Do you think that's unlikely for some reason?
Some conclusions you refuse to come to that i think you should
A) Saudade/penguin is never a team
B) the only reason to vote off wagon is if you’re afraid of 8-ball - most players seem to think that you’d be the on-wagon 8-ball, though, so you least of all should be afraid of it
