Each day will begin with a Nomination phase, in which a nominator is voted on by the town. Once selected, the nominator nominates a pre-determined, publicly announced number of members of the town to be considered for execution.

Once the nominator has made their decisions, the town must vote on someone from the nominators list, in addition to the nominator themselves, to be executed.

>

Deadlines for each phase (nominator and execution) will be equal to the number of living players in the game.

>

Deadline modifications not ordained by the mechanics of the game itself will be granted rarely, only to accommodate for replacements, or in other extreme circumstances such as site downtime.

>

Votes must be made with either

The purpose of this test is to ascertain a standard reaction to novel stimuli and how strategy is developed within a game setting. Test administrators will be making note of your approach to strategy formation more so than accuracy and skill. Good luck, and have fun!

The game is simple. You must remove the two "mafia" members from the test through a series of eviction votes. The mafia members will seek to forestall and eventually make impossible their own eviction. To begin, test subjects are to decide amongst themselves as "nominator" who will select candidates for eviction. You may view this role as an honor or a burden.

Once a nominator is chosen, the game thread is locked until nominations have been made. There is no hard deadline on how long it takes them to select their nominations.
The Nomination and Execution phases have separate deadlines: a number of days equal to the number of currently living players.

I agree, it was really unfortunate how it looked. There are rules now in place that people can't ever discuss in thread their reasons for replacing, but this kind of thing still happens.

I think the best policy wrt replacements is to just never ever consider them AI unless a player has an established meta of replacing as one alignment or something. There's just way too many factors to consider.

that makes sense. i went back and forth on whether the nominator should automatically be added to the pool or not. I think if they weren't, it would probably be a lot more scumsided than it already was? Though maybe that could be accounted for with power roles.
