i just half-read through her iso, and while her posts aren't
bad
, i don't think i've seen anything that struck me as "this is analytical in a way that i really struggle seeing scum fake this". i don't think she's scum for it obviously, but it does make me wanna see more elaboration on the claim she's town for it.
i do think 476 and 482 (calling ari/ausuka/meg townie when they were shitfighting) are +town, considering that galron was already getting suspicion on him, and ausuka had just called out more of his posts. like, coral was at the time voting xayah, and i don't think that wagon was very likely to go though. and she also said she's still suspicious of don, which had a bit more chance to go though, but galron was already voting there and i don't think(?) scum is eager to double up like that in that gamestate. and the next person she'd logically push would be galron, based on 279.
this also strikes me as a counterintuitive progression to have as scum with galron. it doesn't help galron, it doesn't look good as a bus.
In post 133, Coral wrote:I'd wagon Xayah. The misreps I go back and forth on, it seems like something that will easily get called out. But 101 and 107 felt weird to me. There's a very strange level of hedge in the way she expresses her read in those posts and it feels awkward. VOTE: Xayah
I feel like scum in this position would probably take the surface level approach to pushing xayah here, instead coral goes forr a more nuanced read when there's not that much motivation for doing so as scum, especially early on.

The other posts about the scum slot? Nothing in regards to Ph0 and saying "I forget Galron exists" next is just a vote on the slot near NoD it's honestly such blatantly scum partner interaction that it makes me pause because I'd like to assume a partner would at least try to have better interactions then this but on a textbook case? Yeah we get left with this.
Corals early defense of Ph0 when they were under pressure and I had to ask them about it still rubs me the wrong way. Of course, you can be wrong and simply townread a villager but I just disagreed with the method Coral did it. I mean I thought Dati/Aus had to have one but I mistook it with familiarly over TMI (woo how fun ty for explaining that to me could've avoided this mess)
They had Galron in "I would kinda let them go"/shade tier and on paper it's a better look then Meg. So for now, I'm okay with placing my vote down.

I do not care about your concerns about my slot because as I've said I'm fine going over. And given your meta is incorrect on me. I would like if you do not use it as a crutch to try and read Coral the same way. People are people and play different games it's not like we're robots.

I mean probably but it seems like a towny thought for meg to have? idk
I can't tell if you think Meg is just like, a bad player and can only come up with these thoughts as a villager or what but everything Meg has said is very bare bones and is easily taking a backseat. They don't seem interested in trying to figure out the wolf rn it's just "Xayah is most scummy player let's move on next" Even there who to die next list is awful.

With the way the thread was playing out. I found your early and mid D1 wolfy and obviously I made it no secret that I found Ausuka a bit questionable.
But, as the thread went on I figured if it's just Ausuka's personality I should try to read the thread as a whole and given I had Ari slot/Done/Meg as villagers at the time and the game did not feel LOLEASY at the time, I thought the most likely answer was in you or Ausuka. Even if Galron was just a...meh wolf the game didn't feel like a lock so I looked at it based on that degree. Obviously, I was incorrect. (Unless you're a wolf then called it but sob)

Hahahahaha you haven't seen me as a wolf before
"Nice world. It would be a shame if something bad happened to it."
See the only way this strat would work for me as a wolf would be is if I was in a game with all my friends who would know I don't do this as a wolf and then for some reason decide to let me go. (But even then I doubt my friends let me live to any endgame because they're scared. How dare they)
This at most, would buy me...a day? If I'm the wolf here I need to do something to reverse the pecking order not just sink myself in the PoE like this and say let me be run over. Now, the next thing you're gonna say is something like "SEE THIS IS WHAT YOU'RE GOING FOR" lol no. This is just a heads up for post game when I'm in the GY
"Nice world. It would be a shame if something bad happened to it."
Given I am going over it is correct to assume I am flipped town right now and sus out other players because otherwise most of the dayphase is a waste of time.

In post 1127, Datisi wrote:and like. idk i think if you compare xayah and meg i think meg is playing like last scum standing more than xayah is. because i feel like xayah is taking the approach of "let's solve this game so that once i'm dead, this town can still get the W" and meg is taking the approach "push xayah through, feel out the thread for further pushes".
I think this is understandable, to an extent. But I think those are just different possible approaches for scum to take. Scum can focus on... not looking like the last scum standing, and like they're town trying to solve. My issue with Xayah is that it feels like she is spending far more time
talking
about how much she is taking that approach and how she is going to solve the game, and much less time actually doing so. I think it's also just odd to me how much emphasis she is placing on how sure it is that she's the elim today (and therefore she's town because she's still trying) when I don't think that's at all guaranteed.
I'm less confident on it being Xayah than I was yesterday though, for what it's worth.
In post 1128, Datisi wrote:anything specifically from meg that struck you as a townie thought process or whatever you called it?
It feels to me like their reads are coming organically rather than strategically. People disagreed with it but I liked the thought process in 970. And I think that them sticking with their Gamma read here is towny because it gains them nothing as scum and it opens up another line of attack that they will have to defend against. It also seems like throughout the game they have had no interest in getting anybody on their side, which generally tends to get you eliminated.
To be honest, I didn't closely read most of the back and forths they had with Ari and scamper as some of it made me pretty uncomfortable, but I'll revisit those if I feel like I need to.

I would like to try to reinforce my reads on scamper and Datisi by rereading, in order to feel more confident that I won't have to reconsider there, but I don't really have the energy for it and likely won't until next day phase

(im also a little paranoid of her townreading me so strongly)
xayah feels weird as last scum here because she's doing the opposite of what i'd expect last scum to be doing. like, we all know that "lol flip me idc" is basically never getting you not flipped. so i don't think i'd expect competent scum to say that, rather than be more aggressive. but, if that is the tactic she's employing, then i'd expect her to fake a lot of thoughts about the game to look like she's solving. instead she's having thoughts that she's not transparently showing in the thread, and i feel like scum-her focused on survival would be able to do that. it's like she's choosing the worst of both worlds.
so then we're left with "she's trolling until she gets flipped", but that doesn't feel right either.
