I'm kind of confused by the existence of a bodyguard in a 7-player game, but let's move past that.

I don't really know what to do about this game. We're going to need a lot more activity if we want to actually win.

Both of the flipped townies were suspicious of shos and tham. Given how little we have to go on, this pushes me towards lynching one of them - DJD wasn't really any more clearly town than anyone else, and WIFOM scum kills don't really seem to be in style these days.

So, where does this massclaim put us?

I'm inclined to believe AV's claim. (I was inclined to think AV was town anyway.) I know this is modguessing, but really: the existence of the bodyguard makes zero sense without some other more valuable PR to protect. And it would be pretty strange if my role was in this game with only one other town PR. And if there really were no other power roles besides the bodyguard and my own very weak role - which doesn't seem to have any purpose beyond potentially verifying the existence of town PRs - that would strike me as a really weak town for a 7-player game.

So if AV's claim is to be believed, and if you assume I'm town, then the possible scumbags have been narrowed down a lot. If AV has a negative result on someone other than DJD, the remaining two players must be the scum team (assuming a two-man scum team, which seems reasonable). If he has a positive result, we lynch that person and then end up in 3-man lylo tomorrow. Either way, I don't think we should have a problem lynching scum today.

This is assuming no bullshit like "everyone has guns because you're all mafia LOLOLOLOL" but I don't think there's any point in worrying about that.

I actually skimmed a couple of 7p closed micros looking for ways that this setup could be balanced if AV was scum, and the only thing I could find was Empking's Clueless mafia, where the town was extremely low-powered but the scum only got one nightkill. I don't think anything like that is particularly likely here, though, especially given the flavor of this game.

i've been running through the scenario in my head in which both you and av are town and i'm just not seeing it. our massclaim demonstrates that there are no blocking or protecting roles in this game. so if you are town, that means the scum either have no nightkill at all (?) or chose not to use it (?????)

it seems vastly more likely to me that scum each have one bullet or something like that, and this just a bunch of crap you're trying to spin

this is enhanced by the fact that from hypothetical zabriel-town perspective, the scum team has basically been narrowed down to shos+theam (assuming my claim is believed) and he ought to be voting one of them or at least trying to discern their alignments. but he isn't showing any interest in actually trying to win this game for town.

I think shos is town. His expression of interest in lynching DJD looks like a townslip to me - I don't see scum-shos forgetting who he nightkilled. Now, certainly it's possible that this was fabricated deliberately in order to give that impression, but that would imply a level of careful calculatedness that I just don't see in shos's play. I also am reading his posts during D2 as fairly genuine attempts to find scum.

Theamatuer has been lurking a lot but his wait-and-see demeanor seems much more likely to come from scum. This D1 vote is quite bad:
