I think both town and scum, can rage, and people who have played a while know this can try and keep the same playstyle to not give away their alignment.

I think the key is the analysis of the rage. Town tend to get frustrated when they think they are right and people are not listening to them. Scum have to be more creative as any case they have is basically made up, since they already know who the scum is.

You will note Maestro says several times that he doesn't know what about my posts gets him so angry.

This is because he can't pick any particular thing, because there is nothing there. He is raging to keep consistent with his meta of raging. If that requires manipulating a few facts on the way, that is part of being scum.

I think that where you are attempting to go with this is the differentiation between townflail and scumflail. <---- most important townskill that some1 can learn IMO.

there is a definite distinction between the 2 that is hard to articulate.

In that game Aneninen was the one who was accused of misrepresenting things, and yes he was town. The difference is most of the misrepresentation there was due to the language barrier. I can assume by Maestro's posts that English is his first language.

I disagree that I have black and white perspective. There is a range of scumminess. I'm not saying my reads could not be wrong, but they are the best I have with the information that is available.

Off the top of my head -

Jiffy could be scum because he's actually trying to direct suspicions and I'd even say coax discussion (his way) which is something he only does as scum from what I've seen. However there is still a bit of that stubbornness in his reads so that is throwing my read a little.

Oka could be scum because of the way he instantly jumped on me as if he'd found a way in for an easy mislynch (and shows exactly he's never played with me - familiar scum tend not to attack me these days)

Vett could be scum for everything that maestro said.

But maestro could be scum because his later posts do not seem entirely genuine.

both times scum pushed on me all day and when they looked like they were about to get lynched they claimed cop with a guilty on me.

What's Xays scum motivation for faking a guilty though? It'd be putting him into autoloss if he's scum. If you flip town he gets lynched tomorrow and there's not going to be 3 scum in a 9 player micro (This is something you yourself have stated as well).

I am not sure why scum faked a guilty on me the first 2 times. when eagle claimed a guilty when they were at L1 they were down 1 scum partner, their buddy was the cc and the guarranteed lynch the next day the other scum was awol.

For Xay to be scum there'd have to be 3 mafia in a 9 player game where the only town PR's that we'd know of are a doublevoted and a selfwatcher. Don't see it.
