This is a normal, open game of Mafia! There is only one difference: WORD SNEAK! Each night phase, the mod will you give you a list of five randomly generated (but fair) words that you MUST try to work into your posts as seamlessly as possible. Then, during the day or night, send the mod the words that you think each person had. Whoever guesses the most words CORRECTLY gets an extra vote the next day phase. 6 VTs, 1 Cop, and 2 goons.

Game-Specific Rules

1) Each night phase, the mod will you give you a list of five randomly generated (but fair) words.
2) You MUST try to work into your posts as seamlessly as possible.
3) During the next night, you will send the mod a list of words you think were given to each person to sneak.
4) Whoever guesses the most words CORRECTLY gets an extra vote for the next day phase.
5) If you fail to post all five of your words during a day phase, you will no longer be in contention for the double vote for that day.
6) In the event of a tie, both people in the tie will gain the double vote.
7) The double vote may be used anonymously if you so wish.
8) Because of this mechanic, there will always be one more vote in the game than there are people.

(Note: Technically, you can play this game without ever posting words or participating in the word sneak at all; however, you'll always have the disadvantage of someone else being able to double vote, as well as the fact that with the subtraction of your words, it will be that much easier for that to be attained.)

3) Play to your faction's win condition, as long as you do not break any game or site rules in doing so.
4) You may not discuss this game anywhere outside the game thread unless explicitly permitted to do so in your role PM.
5) Directly quoting your role PM, QT or private communications with the mod is strictly forbidden. Loose paraphrasing is permitted.
6) I expect every player to be civil and to treat eachother with respect. Mafia is a heated game, but I'll interfere if anyone resorts to excessive insults, personal attacks, or bullying.
7) No weird forms of encryption. Crumbing is perfectly OK.

Voting/Lynching Mechanics

I) For your vote or unvote to be counted, it must either be in the form of

Vote: Aeronaut

or VOTE: Aeronaut. Nicknames/abbreviations are fine as long as I know who you're talking about.
II) A lynch will occur when >50% of the votes are cast for the same player. (E.G. if there are 9 people left in-game, 5 votes insures a lynch)
III) You may vote for "no lynch" if you wish. If >50% of the players in the game vote for no-lynch, the game will progress to night without a lynch.
IV) Alternatively, if the lynching deadline passes and a majority of votes for one player is not reached, there will be a "No Lynch", and the game will progress to night without a lynch.
IV) If you are killed, you may make one tasteful "Bah" post, but it must 100% non revealing of any sort of game information, or anything of that sort. It must be a farewell only.
V) Twilight phase talking is allowed.

Activity and Deadlines

I) Each Day phase will last [number of living players + 4] days. For example, if there are 7 players left in the game, you will have 11 days.
II) Deadlines will be extended for replacement situations and exceptional circumstances.
III) Night phases will last for 48 hours.
IV) In order to be accepted, night/day actions must be PMed to the mod. If a player does not select one, he or she will default to "no action."
V) Players will be prodded after forty-eight hours without posting. All prods will be announced in thread.
VI) Players who do not respond to a prod within twenty-four hours or need to be prodded three times in a game phase will be force-replaced.
VII) If you will be unable to post for over forty-eight hours, inform the mod by PM or in the thread of when you'll be V/LA. Assuming the V/LA period is of reasonable length, you will be exempt from prods during that time. All V/LA notifications will be made public by the mod.
VIII)Please keep the game active! If you're in like ten other games and are planning on lurking through this, just replace out.

Other

I) I reserve the right to add, remove, or modify rules at any point of the game if it becomes necessary.
II) Pretending to break the rules is just as bad as breaking them, and will be taken just as seriously.
III) If you feel like I've missed something, or you feel I need to take action about something, please let me know in-thread or by PM.

Ok everyone! Tell me what you liked/didn't like about this game. I thought the idea worked alright for the amount of time this game ran, but let me know about ways I could improve it or things you liked. Yea, I realized a bit after I did that, I shouldn't have; Oh well. I don't think it affected the game too much.

Aero I loved the words I received

But can you put everyone's words in a list on the next day so I can know how well I personally did?

Yea, I actually had this, but my laptop was recently stolen so it no longer exists; that's also why it took a bit longer for Daystart.

Off the top of my head, I can say that Lillith was only 1 correct guess away from Expedience, and they were both around like 15ish correct guesses. Everyone else was down at like 9ish. Dave was in last with 6. Sorry Dave!

Yea; I tried my best to give everybody an equal difficulty of words, but obviously it may not always work out that way. I sort of tried to do what you mentioned above; 2ish easy words, 2ish mediamish words, and one just really ridiculous word/phrase.

There's a story behind "Token White Guy"; basically, my sister works in Hollywood, and has an older friend who was a guest actor once for The Cosby Show. He was white, so when he arrived on set, he went up to Bill and said "Hey, haha, I'm kind of the token white guy this episode!".

And everyone just kind of stared at him.

I always thought it was a funny story, so I included it in my Mafia game. Funny how that happens.

Yea. When I was watching you guys play, I decided that my strategy would have been to look for words during the day that seemed strange.

I think I would have definitely had trouble, because my main tactic of scum hunting when I'm town is to look for people who sound off, awkward, or like they're trying to say something without saying it. So, I would absolutely be awful at this.

The real challenge was adding the word sneak mechanic without making it

too

big of a part of the game; if it sways the game too much, then this would really be a Mishmash game, and that's not what I wanted with this project.

I'm pretty happy with the way it ended up being set up; you can technically play this game without ever paying attention to the words if you don't want to, even though it'd be hella boring.
