@Rhaz - what reaction from Magna towards your Cop fakeclaim would have read as town for you?
@Magna - any clarification about that roleblock question yet?-

What makes his response to you scummy in any way at all?
In post 397, MagnaofIllusion wrote:I got it before I posted today. All I could get confirmed is that No Result meant my investigation did not go through. No positive or negative confirmation whether, for example, an Ascetic being investigation immune would still mean I targeted Rhaz for purposes of getting a second Cop shot.
So, functionally, you could both be telling the truth but only if a RBer had a ninja modifier.
Would you support us questing for a RBer claim? With both of you claiming powerful investigative roles, I would tend to presume that anyone who prevented your shot, if town, would aid town by claiming as such, and thus allowing us to snag assured scum, and, vice versa, yeah?-

Eh, if Rahz had come back with some sort of fluff based answer suggesting ninja or null then we'd be having a different conversation. That he doubled down on blocked while opening door to ninja does less for me.
Why do you think scum Rahz fakeclaimed to bag and tag you? That would tend to sort of leave him dead tomorrow by definition, yeah? What's the gain for scum there?-

You haven't? I have no skills, though my intuition is strong in skills of an assassin. I think I can spot a liar pretty well.
I have?
I hope you can explain how someone is a liar just as well, unless you figure Scourge is going to vote your way.

Alright, the timer is stopped at 3 days, 21 hours, 59 minutes. It will continue ticking after we found one replacement.
As long as that replacement is for Scourge, the player we're on hold for, I am okay with this.

Pretty sure you're not an alt Thor.
Your point about Fire is meaningless - Fire positioned himself before Dwlee and I replaced in, so...?
I also don't get how you presume (even if I were to accept that Fire is town) how his presence on a wagon assures it of being a town wagon.
By that logic double scum has to be voting for you. Which would make Kanbei scum, which would mean that he is a scum fruit vendor (per Dwelee's claim) or that scum have a poisoner, who claimed poisoner, and town has a track/watcher *and* a role that auto tracks the poisoner.
Which just seems rude to scum.-

Oh, wait, and also this, that I was typing up before I went for the above maneuver.
WHOOPS!
Rhaz's power set seems substantially more powerful than any of ours.
The Fruit Vendor thing is being a bit wonky to me - if MoI and Fruit Vendor are both legit, then theoretically that's kind of like a potential double clear in Day 2.
Especially odd with the Fruit Vendor verifier - almost like it's trying to punish scum if they deny getting the fruit?
Eh?
With MoI's claim and Rhaz's, there is potentially a scum JKer.
Okay, let's think this through;
Rhaz town/MoI scum - MoI *has* to be Ascetic at this stage (because with the Fruit Vendor also targeting him he can't be a Ninja) or scum would have needed to roleblock Rhaz (in which case MoI would know that and would probably have had a cooler response to Rhaz...? Considering the town PR spread I see little point to a Mafia Ascetic, I will admit.
Rhaz scum/MoI town - Rhaz is probably the scum JKer/RBer and targeted MoI, as an early claim this makes sense for fear of an actual tracker sort of claim. My big issue here is the potential self kibosh for a counter investigative claim (did Rhaz claim the Tracker/Watcher thing after any other claims?) There is a likely 100% chance town would get an investigative of some stripe, and scum should know that, so though there is a strategic concept to that ploy. I suppose I need to go and look at how well regarded Rhaz was after Day 1, but I will admit my skin crawls that MoI claimed second and, lulz, also investigated the person he's counterclaiming.Last edited by Tatsuya Kaname on Thu Apr 28, 2016 3:05 am, edited 1 time in total.-

I ask because we have had zero flips that indicate a VT role. And now that the full-claim is done no-one has claimed VT or a role that Poisons.
So either there is a scum Poisoner out there or your role is a flowery VT meant to look not like a VT to you.
Isn't the fruit vendor the poisoner?-

1. You are clearly not as obvious an alt as you thought, because I didn't think it - and even if you were, it still doesn't make it ironic.
2. I don't think you are aware of my opinion - because thinking it works on me has no bearing to thinking it works on others, and I've never once suggested it was a reaction test that should never be used. In fact I'm pretty sure I'm on record as it being a reaction test I expect to be used.
But if that's "ironic" to you - rock on.
In post 523, Virtue wrote:Now, we have Ranger and Dwlee. Ranger opens very different than her scumgame, she's reading and sorting people. She's engaging and asking questions to form her reads. The claim mechanically confirms one of us as scum for the most part. Unless Ranger is a roleblocker that ascetics the target and is scum with FA, that move makes little sense for scum Ranger.
I don't see how any of the role notes here have any bearing at all.
Also, at least for me, I've found Ranger's presence and effort in thread pretty lackluster.
It's not exactly a scumhunting clinic - it was a decent replace in followed by a lurk.
You don't see scum Ranger doing that?
In post 523, Virtue wrote:Dwlee on the other hand has made zero effort to sort anyone, ignored my questions for reads multiple times, and makes no sense. Dwlee in his first content says that I am overeager to get a lynch through on him, that makes zero sense. Today's lynch is on me or Magna. If the game continues to tomorrow, it means Magna is scum.
Dwlee is not making an effort to solve the game or get reads.
Dwlee has made about as much effort as you, in my opinion.
He is being slow in offering reads.
You're offering a lot of reads off rather thin value calls.
I'm not sure why I'm supposed to take one as obv. scum. Both look like normal sort of replace in hoo-hah.
Hell, look at when I (the super scumhunter who puts in effort) replaced in. I sat around asking questions, and (as far as I'm aware) haven't really offered a single solid read yet.
Yet, somehow, I'm townish and he's scummy?
I've been here longer - shouldn't that make me worse?
Feels like you're trying to set up useful battle lines for yourself, rather than sorting anything. You don't want to annoy Fire, who is voting your way, so he is a strong town read that you defend.
That leaves you three players, one of whom you need to demonize, so why not pick the soft, quiet slot with the weird roleclaim?
Though, that does make me consider something else.
@MoI - who is Virtue's/Rhaz's partner? I don't think I've seen you sound off on this yet, and that feels like something you'd normally have outlined a massive case on already while pronouncing your brilliance to the thread at large. Yet I seem to have nothing.
Whassup?-

Or...y'know, jailkept.
@Ranger - I actually did claim my role, go back and find a post of mine edited by the mod - I can't really clarify beyond that at this point.
Pretty sure I'm confirmed town now though, not that anyone but Fire Assassin is being crazed enough to suggest otherwise.
@Ranger
@Dwlee
So you both seem to be leaning that Magna is the honest one, and Rhaz is the liar.
What are your thoughts on the Rhaz (Virtue) kill fest request at the start of Day 2?
He appeals to Fire, and basically lists me as the optimal death, but adds in MoI and Ranger as possible good shots also.
We know that an MoI/Virtue team is basically assured not legit, that, to my mind kind of rules out me and Ranger also, and barring scum theatre it rules out Fire.
That would make it be Virtue/Dwlee, which I imagine at least Dwlee disagrees with.
Thoughts?-

So we have a fake limited Cop or a fake Watcher+Tracker/Rolecop.
We have flipped/claimed
Thor's role
Roleblocker (limited)
Doc
BP (indicating some possibility that Mod thought lack of kills would be a thing)
Fruit Vendor (?)
Poison detector/warn of post restriction
1 shot Dayvig
@Dwlee - as the poison detector dude, what is your alignment read on Ranger considering how your roles appear to interact?
@Ranger - discuss your thoughts on how you're a fruit vendor if there is a role that appears to poison and you appear to maybe be a cure - how clear is your role on your antidote being useless?
@Virtue - I tend to want to buy into you because you claimed first, and I will admit that often goes well as a baseline reaction to cross claims. That said, your role looks quite powerful in context of the game, whereas MoI's slightly gimped and unusual investigate seems very much normal. What are your thoughts on this?-

So your theory is that Mafia was given poison, that requires a post restriction to trigger, which means that anyone targeted by it is assured town, making you like a weak cop?

I think I'm just starting to conf. bias everything I'm reading.
At the end of the day this is where I'm at.
Magna's claim was handled in a townish way and looks legit - pro.
It maybe looks too legit - con
Rhaz's claim is wonky and sloppily handled - con.
He has no actual upside to that reaction test in mylo (hurr, reaction test a fake cop claim - yeah!) - con.
He came first - pro.
So...meh

If your biggest concern is what happens to be my read on you as I'm trying to lynch Virtue....well, let's make that the case for why you're scum.
Also I'll admit, the concept of your role being real, with no town claiming a blocking power, means scum chose not to use their poison kill power...?
Meh, kinda don't buy it.
I guess maybe Fire is scum and has the option to poison or Daykill, or MoI is scum and has the power to poison or self-ascetic, or Virtue is scum and has the power to poison or jail. But...like, that all seems highly unlikely as an either/or option since all of those options are really dumb when compared to the "power" of a maybe kill.-

In post 636, Fire Assassin wrote:Like, who is their ally here? I can't see anyone. Especially not Dwlee.
Why can't you see Dwlee? He is opposing their lynch, yet not voting Magna, that seems within expected scum reaction to me.

I don't know how you want me to react to that sort of comment.
"Get unstuck! "
Does that help?
Seriously man, whut?-

Virtue's MoI investigate looks rather normal from that assessment, if he's town (though, I guess also if he's scum).
The MoI/Ranger scum team feels far more organic on the Soren wagon though.
@Fire - how hard was it to get the wagon on Soren? Were people arguing against it a lot or no?-

I also suppose that as a scumteam Fire/MoI isn't as impossible as it is for Fire/Virtue in my mind.
That said, their needling over the Fire Bringer thing doesn't feel like scum theatre to me, so I will ignore that setup as well.-

A Virtue/Dwlee team read leaves me feeling weird. Mostly I feel it doesn't jive as a read, but Rhaz hard townreading Scourge off of nothing but empty air when he was calling for the Vig shots makes my toes curl.-

If it's not Magna/Ranger then it would have to be Magna/Dwlee - which makes less sense to me.
Beyond stating vague things (e.g. oh they read town. I don't see that. It doesn't make sense) can you tell me why you don't see Ranger as Magna's partner?
Or why you think Dwlee makes more sense as the partner?-

So you are going with Dwlee as Magna's partner then - do you see any evidence to connect them?-
